I cant confidently recommend this establishment. They have some cool unique pieces for costumes and fun events - however, the customer service lacks incredibly after purchase has been made.

During Halloween last year, I purchased some fairy wings and after I unwrapped it, the wings were lopsided, was literally falling apart and barley held on the one thread it was attached to.

I called the staff about the issue and asked if I could return the item since it was defective and they directed me to come in while the manager was in.

So the next week I came in with my receipt and explained the issue to the manager. She was defensive and kept trying to convince me that these wings were suppose to look that way. She made me feel incredibly uncomfortable raising her voice, showing aggressive body language and verbiage.

Being the manager to show this kind of poor behavior is absolutely repulsive. The resolution that she provided is that she can let me exchange the defective fairy wings for something else. Then she went on explaining that since they are a small female owned store they cant process refunds no matter what, which is unacceptable and a poor excuse for a business - especially for a defective product.

She did not resolve my issue and I was forced to shop for things that I wasn't satisfied with nor needed. She shifted the blame on me as if it is my responsibility to ensure that I am not purchasing a defective product to begin with, and if I do, it's not the stores fault and they bear no responsibility. I'm not even going to talk about the low quality of the salespeople and the merchandise because so many other people have done it already.

No, I'm talking about the so called piercing studio in the back next to the 'discount' clothing racks. I've never seen a piercer stay there consistently, every time I go in there it's always a different person and none of them seem to know what they're doing. One advised me that going from a sixteen gauge to a four gauge in a month was totally cool, as long as nothing ripped. If you know ANYTHING about piercing and stretching your ears, you'll know that's absolute horseshit and dangerous to boot.

Two friends of mine were damaged because of their recklessly low standards. My boyfriend had his ear ripped when the piercer put in his new ear jewelry, and my friend got her nipples pierced there but the next night she was in the hospital for blood poisoning that was a direct result from the piercings themselves. She tried to go back to the store and have them informed of what had happened, showed them doctor's bills and everything, and they told her they weren't liable for damages and it was probably her fault in the first place.

It's just not worth it. And considering whenever you purchase something in the store, they give you a "ten percent off next piercing" coupon? Oh hell no. It's not safe, the jewelry quality is poor, and their piercing techniques speak of someone who should go back to apprenticing for...

I love this place! It’s a great place to find really fun and unique clothing, shoes, and accessories that you typically won’t be able to find in other stores. The store has a lot of fun charm to it. The only downside is that I wish it was more plus size friendly. They do have a plus size section, but it consists of mostly packaged costume sets and not the super cool unique styled clothing that made me love the store in the first place (the last time I visited was a few days after Halloween time, so there’s a chance this section has more options normally, but they just had a huge overstock of costumes right now). Outside of the plus size friendly section, I’ve noticed the sizes usually only go up to Xl, which works for me, but most of the time those sections are very small and have very little option of clothing compared to other sizes. And some of my friends I’ve taken who need bigger sizes than xl aren’t able to find those cool clothing options in their size. I’m glad I’ve been able to find two tops that I purchased and was able to fit in. But I definitely would buy more from there if there was more plus size options.
