It’s like visiting your tia’s house.
At 2:00 pm on a Monday, a group of co-workers who love a good conversation sat silently at a table at Plaza Coyoacan, previously known as Cha Cha Cha. With only the sound of our forks simultaneously clanking against our plates again and again until our plates were clean, occasionally looking up at each other, confirming with a slow blink and a head nod. We not only approved; we genuinely enjoyed each and every bite of food making its way to our bellies.
Ricardo & Leticia, the owners of Plaza Coyoacan, have mastered hospitality! Their secret? They don’t just want you to feel welcome; they want you to feel like family! Read moreWhen I tell you I almost cried eating here yesterday for the first time, I'm LITERALLY about to cry again. I recently visited Mexico after not being able to go back home for 25 years, and yesterday, while I sat at Plaza Coyoacan eating, I was transported to Mexico all over again. The authenticity and flavor of their food was everything my soul needed to relive my experience of being back home. I tried their burrito with a Chile relleno un it, flautas de carnitas AND MY FAVORITE, a Kekka with queso Oaxaca, chorizo and potatoes on a blue corn tortilla. When I tell you this was the best thing I've had since México, I mean it. Do yourself and your taste buds a favor and go eat here, you will not regret it. Tell them Lucy sent you (please know this will do nothing as far as free anything, or a discount, but I'm sure they'll love to know how much someone loved their food that they asked you to go and see for yourself and also for you to mention...
Read moreIf you haven't been to Plaza Coyoacan yet, you should go! Their food is so delicious and you can literally taste the love that it is made with! The food is so yummy and the margaritas are so good!!! We had their Organico Tempeh Burrito, House Veggies Burrito, and chips with guacamole and roasted salsa. Lots of great options for everyone, including plant-based options for vegetarians and vegans. The flavors hit every note, and their guac and salsa - just YUM! This is our favorite place! One last thing to mention is the atmosphere... beautiful artwork on the walls and the outdoor enclosed patio is so delightful with a gorgeous new mural, a water feature, fans for hot days, and the tables are spotless and clean! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the service! They make you feel like you are with family or dear friends. Five stars on...
