I absolutely loved this store! The selection of high-quality, dainty jewelry is incredible, but what really stood out was the kindness, expertise, and attention to detail from both the staff and the owner.

The owner went above and beyond to help me create the perfect gift. I explained that I wanted a matching holiday set for my mom (left) and sister (right), and she offered to modify one of her existing pearl designs. She added four little green onyx stones and replaced a large pearl with a large green onyx to create a truly unique and thoughtful generational gift. She even took the time to read me the meaning of the green onyx stone, which had randomly caught my eye, and shared that it holds the unique property of preserving physical memories—a detail that made the gift feel even more special. The care and effort she put into this piece meant so much to me, and as these are gold-filled, we’re hopeful they’ll last for years to come.

On top of that, I was impressed by how she deals with shoplifters. She puts their photo on the wall but gives them the opportunity to take it down if they return and pay for what they stole. Honestly, it’s the kindest way to handle such situations and really speaks to her character.

I stopped by Oro this weekend looking for a nice placeholder engagement ring for my girlfriend. Over the course of a couple visits, I was assisted by several people who were all incredibly kind and helpful. I eventually settled on a really great opal ring with white sapphires. After I left the store, I noticed the tiniest bend in the band, so being extra picky about this one, I went back to get some advice on how I might straighten it out. I got the impression that repair was not one of Allie’s usual responsibilities, but she took the initiative to get on a video call with her boss who walked her through the process. She was back in just a few minutes with the ring looking even better, and I left happy. The store in general is amazing, and everything looks like it’s straight out of my girlfriend’s jewelry drawer (who has very cool style, if you ask me), so I know we’ll be back for that reason alone. I visited this little jewelry store while I was visiting Portland. I just happened upon it. They have the coolest stuff. Their jewelry is really well made and creative/inspired. It’s also reasonably priced for the level of work put into it and the fact that it is made right there by the owner. The staff & owner were super friendly and inclusive.
