Sloan — Local services in Portland

Edit: 11/8 ignored in the dressing room and then ignored by email after THEY asked me to reach out to make things right after a rude interaction with employee. Horrible business and customer service from the top down.

Started nice enough. Went into the dressing room and was never checked on. That's fine. Had to wave down an employee to ask for another size because I didn't want to get fully re-dressed. Employee said she would go grab it and then never came back. Left waiting half dressed in the room for about 5 minutes. Then heard her checking in with other people and not myself. Got dressed and came out. Her and I made eye contact and she turned to do something else. Felt really bothered that she not only left me half dressed in a changing room waiting on her and then not even an apology for never returning. Won't be back to that location. Other employees...

Sloan is one of my favorite retail clothing shops in the Portland area. I am older(56) possibly, than many of their clients, and I always find things that work so well in my wardrobe. I have never physically been into one of their shops. I always follow their daily Instagram posts and I shop off of them. I don’t know who is usually helping me but whoever you are Thank You so much for being super patient with me. I shop off of pictures they send me, measurements, and by their opinion of what will fit me best. I think I have maybe exchanged one thing ? I am obsessed with the style of Sloan, it fits! If you’re anything size 8 or up, don’t go. Was nearly impossible to find anything in my size. Associate was annoying and overly personal, tried to have a nice day out with a friend and she just pestered us constantly and was trying to push all kinds of clothes onto us. They really try to sell you things. The associate brought me jeans that were clearly too small for me. They made me feel really bad about my body, and then were annoyed that I didn’t buy a bunch of things, not worth it! I’d rather go to any other boutique on Hawthorne, where they actually carry an XL. I bet this shop is a dream if you’re a Small or...
