Working with Anna was a highlight of my wedding experience! It started with a virtual brainstorming session where Anna asked thoughtful questions and was just as excited about my vision for my wedding set as I was. From there, she was accomodating with my schedule for in-person visits since I was traveling from out of town, and she spent the time necessary to make our vision come to life. Plus... her Portland atelier where those visits took place is a magical studio with impeccable energy. When I received her (stunning!) handmade painting of my ring design, I may have gasped out loud in the LAX airport! During the design process, we encountered a couple of speed bumps around timing and design details, but Anna was open to feedback and understanding of my requests. I really loved designing a personalized ring with Anna and the mock up was beautiful. Unfortunately, before the ring was made, she lost the sapphires I gave her. I would recommend working with her, but make sure you have a contract with a timeline and cost of services/product as early as possible (Anna told me my wedding ring would take 2-3 months and 8 months in she gave me a quote above the budget I’d initially submitted) and a receipt for any property you give her. She told me in fall of 2022 that she’d lost my sapphires. She offered to use different sapphires that she’d acquired but the personal significance of the ring was lost with my sapphires. I asked her to be in touch when she found them or figured out a way to compensate me. It’s been over a year and I haven’t heard from her.
