I received the worst customer service at PDX yesterday. It started with parking in economy parking (red). We went to the nearest bus stop. There was nearly 30 people waiting to be picked up. 20 minutes passed before the bust bus arrived. About 8 people walked to the nearest bus stop before our stop so they would have a better chance getting on the bus. When the bus finally arrived it took maybe 10 out of 30 people waiting. My family got on the bus but the door closed cutting me off. Even after my family told the driver I was left they still kept going. Another bus came about 15 minutes later but they were “out of service.” Even though many people said they had been waiting there 45 minutes and going to miss their flight, the driver said another bus would be coming. They left us. When another bus came around they too were “out of service.” I gave up waiting because no other buses were in sight. Four complete strangers who were desperate got into my vehicle for a ride to the airport. To add injury to insult, even though I explained to the person working the gate that I was exiting out of desperation to get to the airport and spend extra money to park there, they still insisted I paid the fair for the amount of time I was parked in the red lot waiting for a bus. I dropped off the strangers at a cross walk in front of departures and they ran. I circled back around to park in short term parking. I had to go as fast as I could to get to my family who had been waiting 30 minutes for me. I was upset and now sweating from the mad dash.I asked if anyone could help us get thru security faster. They said it shouldn’t take that long.It was already boarding time for my flight. A TSA person moved on and left one person to help the 60 or so people in line. I was about to have a meltdown but there is no one at the airport who can help you. The only reason we made our flight was because our flight was delayed by an hour. It took me 30 minutes to stop sweating from all the running. Then the chill set in from being wet.I felt disgusting I was highly agitated and there was not a thing I could say because most of the people there work for an airline or a kiosk. They didn’t deserve my wrath. So, a friend told me today about this site. So, here I am, still aghast at the lack of service.I also wonder how many of my bus stop buddies actually made their flights.People were panicked. I never thought I would be grateful for a delayed flight. Oh, and we arrived an hour and 45 minutes before our flight. I so look forward to that parking cost I face when we get back...
