Power + Light Building — Local services in Portland

We parked here last night on the 5th floor. We are from out of town and we're excited to try out Melting Pot, across the street. We were not aware that we would need to bring a ticket with us when we left the garage. We left it in our truck. As we were leaving, I checked the times posted to make sure that the garage wouldn't close before we returned. It was 6:45 and we would return around 9 . They were open until 2am. We returned to a closed and locked garage at 9:15. There were several other people havering around, without tickets, wondering how to get in! We started to panic and wondered briefly if we would be stuck in Portland overnight?!?! The nearby attached restaurant graciously allowed us and many others to go through their private parking garage entrance. It was the most nerve-racking night we have all had in a while! Parked here with every parking space from floors 1-4 being reserved. When we done eating at nearby restaurant, we came back to the garage doors being closed and locked with no way in. Supposedly the ticket we print at the entrance is meant to be taken with you and not left in the vehicle. Many others were in the same boat and we got lucky that the restaurant attached to the parking garage was willing to let us come through to get to the garage. I recently started working at the Power + Light Building as Security with Allied Universal. One of the exciting places Allied Universal has me working right now.
