I cant believe Ive never been here before. Such a treasure. Breakfast and Lunch are yummmm! Oh!
I got a hot chocolate. I need to sit down for this. Let me tell you, I am never satisfied with a hot cocoa, but today i am a changed woman. First, its made with milk. Hallelujah. And amen. Second the music was not loud it was perfect. Gorgeous Cuban music that puts you in a good mood but not so loud that it interrupts your cozy chat. Third! And this part is what really cemented my love for this place. It was made with some of that grandmas Mexican chocolate! ♥️♥️♥️😩💕 If there is nothing else I get in this world, by god let me have some multidimensional flavors. 🙌✨✨✨ It was gorgeous. It tasted like something that would be sell for $22 a cup at Erewohn. Or sold for $16 in a mason jar at an artisans market the 2nd Friday after a full moon on Leap years only. The combo of a smokey sweet, rich consistency with milk and unexpected chocolates has made this the best hot cocoa i think ive ever had. The only thing that would best this drink, is a few muddled and strained mint...
Read moreI have never been to the restaurant, but I've ordered plenty of times through uber eats. The green chilaquiles are the best in portland. Hands down. Empanadas are also really good. The cuban sandwich not of my liking, but it was ok. The only thing I disliked was that for some reason the chilaquiles come in a disposable container that is not resistant to heat/humidity and the material starts coming off and combining with the chilaquiles and giving a weird taste... That's why I stopped ordering. I'd be a daily client if you changed ur packaging, and would change my review to 5/5. Hopefully you take a look into this!
Edit: I edited my review because I ordered again and noticed they changed the material. I am glad you guys really care about your customers. I think a nice option to add would be some a bit more spicy, same version of the same chilaquiles. Not crazy spicy just a bit more. I am about to order as I type...
Read moreGreat place to stop in and snag some lunch if you happen to be in the area. I was serving for jury duty and this place caught my eye. I’m glad I went in.
The atmosphere itself is classic for what you’d expect of a family run restaurant. There’s nice decor on the walls and welcoming music playing. It’s not a huge establishment but definitely big enough for multiple parties to sit.
I wound up getting the pork sandwich which came out in around 10 min with a small lunch rush. The sandwich was rich in flavor and the meat itself was super tender. The bread was also delicious as I know it’s made fresh locally. Some of the bbq flavor and the mayo I couldn’t taste so it might have felt slightly one note but it was a good note to say the least. Sandwich was a decent size but could have been a little larger for the price. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re...
