Havalina — Restaurant in Portland

Knew this place when it was the Rock N Roo. Love the vibe of the place. Really chill atmosphere and the cocktails are fantastic. There is a taco truck out in the back parking lot which closed early when we were there. The only thing about the place and this was the same as the establishment before but it's really cold and drafty. Even sitting at the other end of the bar the whole place just traps cold air. Dress in layers I guess until that gets figured out. The old owner said it was a constant struggle with the heating system. It's either Arctic or sauna. Definitely check it out. Havelina is such a wonderful gem of a cocktail bar—the performance space is unlike any I’ve ever seen. It has a very Tiny Desk feel to it. I have never had a bad drink or a bad bit of service at Havelina, and it is one of the only spaces I have ever seen where you can experience so much music for FREE! You can save all your cover fee cash to support the bands you’re enjoying.

This isn't really Havalina's fault, but since the only food available is from the taco truck outside, I will mention it. The atmosphere was fine, the service was good, but the food was not so good.
