I went to Rick's Jewelers today to get a battery for my Seiko watch, as I do yearly, because I very seldom wear it. I have also purchased other pieces of jewelry in the pass. I walked in the store and was not acknowledged or greeted. There was a lady servicing a customer who was getting his wife's ring resized. I sat patiently for someone to assist me. In a few minutes , a young guy to came from the back and looks at me and turns and go to the back. Iater, a older gentleman comes out and goes to the back. At this time, no one still acknowledges me. I sat patiently. Then another customer comes in and went straight to the counter and the young guy tells her, oh' you had your ring clean, let me get it for you. Afterwards, he ask me did I need help. He said that he didn't see sitting there. I don't believe that because I was the only person sitting there and we made eye contact. I then get up and leave. I went outside to pray and then return to share my heart with the staff. I calmly said to the staff that "It a sham that in 2024, as a woman of color, we are still being discriminative against. I told the young guy, that you saw me sitting there because, we made eye contact and he still didn't acknowledge my presence. I went on to say , apparently, you don't need my money and going forward, I will shop elsewhere. The only reason I gave them one star is because, it wouldn't let me submit the post. They deserve a negative response, until they learn how to respect and acknowledge...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI normally donāt leave bad reviews BUT goodness this one is a doozy! We took a ring in to get some diamonds reset into another setting around November 17th, 2024. This was my late motherās ring (very sentimental). I went in the first part of December to check on it because it was supposed to be finished by Christmas as a gift. I was told I would receive a call or a text with an update on the ring. Never got a call or a text from anyone at this establishment. However, my son went in several times, during this 3 month time span, to check on it and not knowing at the time, but apparently was being told lies about where the ring was and the progress of the ring each time he went in. We were told that they had to send the ring off to another Jeweler in another state, to get the work done. BUT couldnāt tell us where it was sent!!!! Found out yesterday that it was NEVER sent anywhere! So itās just been sitting there for almost 3 months with nothing being done to the ring! I walked in yesterday (2-12-2025) and told them who I was and wanted an update on the ring. They went around the corner and brought the ring out (not from a safe, that I saw) and handed me my ring. The ring should have been in a safe, given the appraised value from a reputable jeweler). She finally told me she couldnāt ārecallā the situation. Nothing was ever put in the computer for a paper trail. What jewelry store does this???? Will not ever walk in this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSuper friendly, small town jeweler! Love the people. I had a ring that four other stores claimed could not be sized down from 6.5 to 4! The ring was very complicated and had paveā diamonds going down the shank on both sides, In addition, there were tension set diamonds, and it was just very complicated overall. In addition, I was told that only a certain type of diamond would fit into the mounting-by four other stores! Not only did we put in one different shape but I had the option to choose four different shapes for this ring! The stores that said this ring could not be altered were big names and located in Birmingham, East Montgomery, and Oklahoma City. Ashley took the time to talk it over with me and he got it done! The jeweler has incredible talent! He has set a 4 carat diamond, 3.5 carat diamond, and a 9 carat diamond for me. In addition, he has set a pair of 6 carat total weight earrings. He set a 2 carat oval for my best friend as well. Lastly, Iām not in the least bit worried about honesty. All my diamonds have been returned to me set in their original form without...
