Amish Home Decor — Local services in Prescott Valley

My husband and I were looking for some quality furniture to replace the “vacation house” items that we had in our living room. We looked at the furniture offerings in Prescott, and just did not find the style and quality that we wanted. Remembering ads we had heard on the radio, we decided to go look at Amish Home Décor on Highway 69 in Prescott Valley. At first we were discouraged, since much of what is on the showroom floor is bedroom and dining room, and while all of it was lovely, not the pieces we were looking for. When we talked to the sales person, however, we found that they have numerous catalogs from which you can order, specifying the type of wood and the stain color, all of which were on display in the various pieces on the showroom floor.

Now, all this stuff is made to order, so the lead time is 12-14 weeks. When the pieces came in, we were delighted with some, but we were disappointed in some, as there were style details that we had not noticed from the pictures in the catalog. The owner, Chris Venhaus, offered (offered without us asking!) to resell those pieces and let us order others in their place. We were both amazed and happy with this offer, and have ordered pieces that she helped us decide on. I should comment that she was not the sales person on the floor at the time of our initial order, or we might have had better guidance.

The pieces that we already have are truly lovely, quality furniture, and if I could give more than 5 stars to both the furniture and the owner of this establishment, I would! If you are looking for the best of the best in all different styles, go to Amish Home Décor on Highway 69 in...

On February 13, 2018 we ordered a sideboard from this store. They told us it would take 3 months for it to be built and delivered. After 3 months of waiting, no sideboard. Every week we called inquiring about it, we got a different story, and the owner seemed annoyed that we were calling. After over four months of waiting, we gave them a deadline for delivery. They called and told us it would be delivered on May 11, 2018. On May11, I called them, and they said it was at the shippers ready to be delivered, and may be there after a week or so. After 5 months of waiting, we finally got fed up and asked for our money back. The owner did refund our deposit, but was not very nice about it. In the long run, it worked out to our advantage. We went to Mary’s Cozy Home Furnishings in Chino Valley and found a beautiful quality sideboard at a fraction of the price of the sideboard we had ordered. Plus, the people there were very friendly and helpful. We love our sideboard we purchased from Mary’s, and will never waste our time and money on The Amish...

When we moved from Alaska to Prescott, we had sold everything- we were literally sitting on folding chairs in the living room. Kris was a welcome surprise in working with us to fill our home with distinctive, classy furniture that will stand the test of time. The quality of craftsmanship and beauty of what is offered cannot be understated.
