Tell us you're not interested in selling anything without telling us you're not interested in selling anything. I was happy when Alliance opened, offering another local supplier of home improvement and repair parts, including a lot of items not found in other stores in the area. Unfortunately Alliance seems to have decided selling is overrated. They gutted half the store and discontinued those unique items in favor of overpriced fluff and a lot of empty space. Since our local Ace Hardware recently did the same I was forced to visit Alliance for some things I needed. I only found one that wasn't quite the right size but likely would have worked, but that "no sale" philosophy apparently exists throughout the staff. There was no one at the register, and I only saw what I thought were two customers leaving the store engaged in conversation. As it turns out one of them was the cashier, but instead of returning to the register after her social break she decided to look busy by "cleaning" one of the other register stations. Needless to say I left with my hands as empty as the store and will not be returning. It's a sad state when Lowes and Home Depot are the best choices for home improvement and repair, and a lot more affordable. $90 for a 6' project board? No thanks. UPDATE: One year later and they are out of business....
Read moreFairly new window screen (3 yrs) needed rescreening as screen had separated from frame due to poor splining. Tear was about 6” long. Brought screen in, was quoted $26 for repair & work was done in about 4 hrs. Price was fair, service was outstanding (thank you Harley) and work was completed much faster than quoted. What more could a customer ask for?!? This is my second positive experience with Alliance Home Improvement within the past month. Previously I visited the store to buy screws needed for mounting cabinets in laundry room. The selection was huge & frankly intimidating BUT thankfully Jerry was there & found all the sizes & types I needed with ease. Thank you Jerry! While I’m not a huge fan of how the store has been recently reconfigured, I do appreciate the GREAT customer service I’ve recently received & also appreciate the store’s proximity to my home.
I did take my screen to another business before going to Alliance Home Center and was sadly treated with disrespect and was quoted an insulting price. Will never shop there again but that experience made me appreciate Alliance Home Center even...
Read moreI always have a positive experience at this store. The customer service is not only great, it's consistently great! All other retailers use the excuse of Covid, supply chain, unable to hire new employees but Alliance HIC in PV opens it's doors in the midst of uncertainty and have excelled on every front as a new retailer in the quad cities. Steve and the staff who closes the store in the evenings never rush you out. And if they don't have what you are looking for, Steve will write down your name and number to call you when it comes in. No or can't is not in their vocabulary. For this, I will drive across town past several other retailers to give my business and hard earned money to Alliance Home Improvement Center. And if they have a slightly higher price, I won't bother asking for a price match because of the level of service I receive is worth it and they deserve it. Thank you, Mark...
