This company is price gouging at the speed of light. So in the fall they increase the prices of their ice cream (Concrete mixers in particular… It’s all I get so I don’t know how the other prices have been affected). Three months later my concrete mixer increased again. That was in January and the explanation was the higher AZ minimum wage so I looked it up and I did the math and the price increase was paying for an hour and a half of one of their employees’ minimum wage increase… Which is nuts.
This week they have now reduced the size and mix in options for the concrete mixers (See photo) And my $8.61 is only paying for what is essentially a medium.
Now they will try to tell you that their costs have gone up. Except the price increase in January took them above the Culvers in Prescott. I also make my own homemade ice cream weekly. And even before this increase, I could make at least four times as much ice cream for the same price… And I am buying my ingredients retail not wholesale. And trust me homemade ice cream is just as good if not better.
I used to go for ice cream about five times a week. Yes I really like ice cream. And I liked the company. I’ll let you do the math on that. I was giving them a fair chunk of my income. And now they’re not going to get any of my money because I simply will not continue to reinforce this greed.
I invite anybody else who’s tired of constant price increases and companies using inflation as an excuse to fleece us to do the same. They won’t be reasonable until it hits them in the pocketbook. As much as I have loved and supported this company in the past… My brand loyalty has...
Read moreThe staff here is always so helpful we had a fish sandwich and there butter burger. We forgot to ask for extra tartar sauce and salt and pepper for the fries and fish sandwich. The team member that's brought our lunch to us was the same one that took our order. He literally did it all. Except cook it. After he dropped off our order we asked him for the tartar sauce and salt and pepper he'd cheerfully said no no I'll go get it for you instead of telling me where it was and asking the customer to go get it. The staff is constantly cleaning and when they clean the booths they don't just do a superficial cleaning they wipe the tables down and the cracks of the booths very thoroughly. All this means so much for a clean having a clean environment. For pet lovers the patio is always a great spot. They will even bring you a doggy bowl for water and most of the staff just loves to see your pup. The menu is extremely diverse. Generally we go there for the same thing each time and each time we say oh we're going to have to try a different item but never do. It's just a great consistent place to go for lunch or dinner. I'd be shocked if you were disappointed. If you were disappointed it just had to be a bad day or some unusual circumstance occurred. The hiring practices must be very rigorous. Each staff member seems to really care about your happiness and contentment with a meal. At the end of our meal while we were sitting there one of the team members came by with a sample of their ice cream for the day. We asked why she was doing that, she said oh when we're very busy we will bring a little sampler of our ice cream for the day. And it...
Read moreWent in at about 7:40pm with a party of 7 and heard most of the Backroom crew shout "Not it" "You're taking their order", the loudest of the group was Quinn. What a way to feel unwelcome. Quinn was shouting loudly "I'm tired! Are you guys tired?" to his coworkers and messing around behind the counter and ended up standing there looking at all of us while we ordered. Another employee asked him to pick something up off the floor and he kicked it up with a backwards kick. I absolutely have to commend Faith for immediately volunteering to take our order despite her coworkers attitudes. She was very polite through our transactions. I'm very glad Culver's provides their employees the opportunity to take tips. Faith practically took care of us the whole night as we did go back up to order frozen custard. Again, she was great. As for the food, its just what i would expect from Culver's. The burgers are great, and the cheese curds are top tier, all at a...
