The nighttime security officer at the marina is a creep. Anytime (twice now) I have tried to walk the marina at night (a public place w/ no posted hours signage and common foot traffic at night), me and my friends have been photographed and followed both on foot and in car. He refuses to talk to with any of us and commonly either flees on foot to restricted areas or drives away in his car to avoid us. During the last instance, he parked facing us and turned on his high beams as to create glare so we could not see what he was doing. He has never once questioned or started a discussion. Upon me calling the marina during business hours, I was finally informed that he was in fact the security officer, that it was probably taken for "documentation purposes and probably deleted by now," and was met with being told how supposedly great he is at his job. Multiple times on foot, we have attempted to initiate contact (i.e. "why are you taking pictures of us?" "can we help you with something?"), the first of which being met with silence and the second being met with a "no" with no elaboration before he went behind a gated door. I don't know of any place where any of this is proper...
Read moreLovely marina, fun location but horrible staff personalities.
We were loudly reprimandded for riding our bikes to the boat down the dock by Dennis the yard manager., (docks are long), 30 minutes later two other boaters road their bike on the dock off to P-town and went right by the marina manager, Susie. She did nothing. When confronted Susie said “I did.not.see them” even though I observed them stop right in front of her and talk. Her.response. Was “I. Will talk to them later if that is what you want,” as oppose to sorry, or our error, or anything other than blame shaming. Meanwhile golf carts traveling at full speed on the docks are apparently allowed but not bicycles.
All I was looking for was a.consistent policy. Do not expect to be treated as a guest.or customer here unless you arrive in a mega yacht. Hopefully next time we come back they will have some poorly needed customer...
Read moreWe were just reminded of our poor experience at this marina by our friend who shared a similar story with us.... we did not expect such an unwelcoming experience when we tried to dock and let our 6 month puppy pee and pick up 2 preordered sandwiches a few weekends ago on Sunday October 5th. For such a friendly place like Ptown - we received a very rude greeting from whoever was on the dock that afternoon. The slips were almost completely empty being October and there was plenty of space, except at the drop dock which happened to have 2 boats tied up. Nature calls and so did I for some sandwiches and we attempted to dock at one of the many open slips until Mr Rude hollered to us. Whenever we go to Ptown on the boat we always go to Flyers and absolutely always will especially after this poor experience and...
