I have purchased two dresses from the PG store. Both were cute. One dress I wore once in a photo shoot (so not very long) and put it back in my closet. I went to pull it out & the dress had started to pull apart at the seams at the bust. Which definitely should’nt have happened. Of course I didnt have the tags or receipt bc I loved the dress & didnt plan on returning. I decided to call the store bc I saw another rip. I explained that I had only wore it once. The woman on the phone asked if I had receipt or tags, I said no. She said bring it up. So I did as soon as I got the chance. I had bought the dress at the end of April but only took it back out to wear in June when I noticed the rips. A dress from a boutique should not rip like that. I came up and although the ladies were polite the manager was a little snide saying “well this was bought in April”. Which you can obviously see the rips in the dress. She then said well sometimes this happens when you wear it. What???! When I wear a $40 dress one time for photos?? She said there is a 60 day return policy. And yes I get that but the dress is damaged. With rips happening all around the bodice/bust. That cant be normal. She said well I have to give you store credit bc we dont have a dress to exchange. Which is fine except I didnt decide to just return the dress for no reason and I dont think I should have been treated as if this was my fault. Then the other lady at the counter said well sometimes they dont double stitch it. Ok??!! Again thats a manufacturing issue. Even if it was over 60 days, I would think a higher quality dress should last more than 60 days and 1 wear. I took my store credit and bought a $40 tshirt, yes a $40 tshirt bc I do not plan on returning again. This dress was obviously not made well by the designer. I would think that Anthonys could show the maker the issue? I wish I had taken pictures . I just do not think insinuating that one wear caused that dress to rip is good customer service. I gave 4 stars bc the other dress I got was super cute and at least they did give me store credit. But...
Read moreBeautiful clothing, but very lackluster customer service. Went in to purchase some things for a trip to Hawaii. Walked around for approximately 15 minutes gathering clothes. No carriage, or anyone offering to start a dressing room for me. I finally flagged down a woman who took my items, and said to let her know when I wanted to go into the dressing room. She then disappeared. Another 15 minutes of gathering items, and then I had to flag another associate down to get my first batch of clothes. She walked me to the dressing room. No one came back to ask how I was doing, or if I needed a different size. The whole experience made me feel so uncomfortable, that I simply left… despite finding several things I would have probably purchased in a smaller size. They lost $250-300 of business. I guess they...
Read moreI discovered this store while doing our yearly Punta Gorda escape. I have a difficult time finding petite size clothes, so this was a great discovery. Great Florida styles at reasonable prices. The staff was very helpful when I needed them to order a specific item in a size they didn't have at this store. They ordered the size and called me when the item came in. Unlike several stores in Punta Gorda/Fisherman's Village which won't let you return something and get a refund, Anthony's does so I felt comfortable purchasing items knowing I could return them if needed and not just get a credit. I wish they would carry dresses in petite sizes. We petite ladies would love dresses that actually fit us and didn't need to be...
