No Yelp I guess, so I’ll leave this review here. Cherise (sp) is friendly and on time which was great. My appointment was for 8 and I got started almost right away. She was bouncing back and forth between me and someone else so I was done around 11 which is good for the faux loc install. She uses a super abbreviated technique that essentially threads (well crochets) your braided hair into a pre-made loc which is why it took almost half the time it would take if I got them the traditional way. Now my main complaint is that they cost $200 + the $25 for the hair. Now that’s average price for the long laborious braids but since this is so easy and relatively quick, it’s a tad expensive. Especially considering that it’s a Linden, no-frills shop. Not an upscale NYC salon. Also, my hair is super short and took no time to be braided. On top of that they don’t last very well. It’s been about 12 days and my hair (I have soft curly hair) is sticking out of the locs already! I’m going to try to stretch them to 3 weeks to get my money’s worth but I doubt they’ll last that long. So $225 for not even 2 full weeks isn’t worth it. But maybe you can’t get them wet. I went on a beach vacation and purposely got them so I didn’t have to fight with my natural hair the whole time. Success in that aspect but my hair is curling and starting to stick out of the locs....

Love this Salon, my stylist is Chyreise, she is also the owner... I always get a sew in because it protects my natural hair.... I let her purchase the hair/weave and she colors it to match mine which is super awesome because I like it to look natural. The shop is super spacious and the girls are friendly. It’s also conveniently located in downtown Rahway with plenty of parking and near public transportation. She does awesome work and you pay for expertise, that being said she is not expensive but also not cheap you get what you pay for and if I can look awesome walking out and in a short period of time it’s all the...

TERRIBLE. I made an appointment for 2:30pm and Tammy had me waiting for TWO HOURS. She over booked herself, washed my hair, made me wait for over two hours and then asked me would I rather get my hair braided and then put on a wig. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL and told me I was stressing HER out for her wasting MY time. I would never recommend this salon and it’s sad that yet another black owned place of business has shown that us as people have a problem running businesses. Mind you it’s saturday and it was slow with only two stylists....
