BARBER GODS — Local services in Rahway

Walked in at 5:40pm on a Saturday for a haircut and I have never been here prior. As soon as I walk in a Gentleman says hello and asks if i have an appointment, which I replied no. He then says they normally work by appointment and then asked the other barber if he had anyone else after the shape-up he was doing, and that barber said no he would take me(Halfway through his client's shape-up). I sat down and waited for my turn. At 6:11pm the original guy tells me he can only cut my beard, then I said no I need a haircut. He then asked the guy who was supposed to cut my hair if he could cut my hair and now he replies that he can just cut my beard!Mind you no one asked me what I wanted when I got there and now they're telling me no good after I sat for 31 minutes already.i work a lot and have a busy schedule and I needed to have a haircut, if they couldn't do it they should've said that from the beginning and I could've gone somewhere else that was still open. Now nothing is open and I'm out of luck, thanks! First time and last time at this location, such a terrible way to do business. If I told someone I would take care of them as a business owner I would stand by that no matter what...

1st time was today (walk in sunday) wanted to try this place out (i have been to 4 different shops the past year). I was looking to switch from another barbershop in carteret. Anyways to the point i got a fade which i normally pay 20 (tip included) today at this place it was 25 (30 with the tip). Well you pay for what you get. The fade on point,the place was clean,the machines dont pull your hair. My barber was Adan today, two things i noticed was he asked me at the near end “is the cut good?” I said yes but yet he saw some small flaws he wasnt happy with and decided to do some touch ups (a perfectionist) and at the end normally they throw alchol after the use the blade and it burns (used to it by now lol) but Adan as he put the alcohol on he was following it with the blow dryer (to reduce the burn) small details that matter. I will gladly pay 10 extra at this place. At this place you can pay cash or debit card(technology) no more worry to hit the ATM(Once again my fade and shape up on point!) thank you for the quality hair cut!!! See you...

$40-$50 for a simple fade and trim is overpriced. Better places around town. Also wanted to point out that most 5 star reviews here are done to boost the business so don’t fall for the whole “5-stars! This place must be great!” Prices are simply not priced fairly. Much better places around town with a better business overall.

Also wanted to point out that whenever there are any reviews that are not 5 stars, the “owner” decides to make those reviews about the customer being in the wrong and that low reviews are intentional to negatively impact the business. If anyone really wanted to, they can go straight to the BBB and get into a lawsuit with them for how poor of a business aspect they have towards customers and people reviews from anyone that speaks their mind.
