Express Inn — Hotel in Rahway

I booked this place expecting a basic but clean hotel stay, and was shocked by what I walked into. The room was filthy and unsanitary. The bedding had sweat stains, the floors were dirty, and there was grime in the bathroom. I have video and photo evidence to prove how unacceptable the conditions were.

When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, they refused to offer any kind of refund or resolution. When I asked to speak to management, the guy said the manager was out of the country. I asked for a phone number and he said he couldn’t give me the number for privacy reasons (?). What’s worse, the place is advertised as a hotel, but in reality, it functions like a run-down roadside motel. Total misrepresentation.

If you're considering staying here, just don’t. It’s not worth the headache or the health risk. Travelers...

Stayed at Express Inn for one eventful night. Other than the cops being called on my rambunctious neighbours, the stay was pleasant. The Inn staff were quite accommodating for my elderly grandma, and welcoming in general.

Save your money and book elsewhere for the same amount. I booked for 2 nights due to an emergency at my house, would’ve been better sleeping in my car. Very nasty, very outdated. The layout is inconvenient. The TV doesnt even align with the bed so its hard to watch. No app (nextflix, youtube) options. Walls were dirty, a hole on one side, bathroom looked moldy, edges of the tub has some weird stains. A roach appeared.
