I've been there twice. My first experience was worst for sure though. Me and my mom went there to look for a prom dress, even though I found one so already liked in Belk, because of the experience. The dress there are very expensive especially for a single occasion that kinda sucked anyway. We looked and the dress I liked was 800. Way too expensive especially when it had very minimal beading. We looked in the clearance section which was much better priced but clearly segregated from the rest of the store. The dresses there were in plastic bags instead of true plastic garment bags. I tried not to hold it against them but when I found a dress there that I liked and I wanted to try it on they directed me to a separate dressing room in the back next to boxes and pipes that was only a curtain on a rod for me to try on. That's the clearance dressing room. No mirror no money no service. The second time I went there it was for a friend. She didn't find anything she liked at other stores and said she found this one online. I told her about my experience but she said they had good reviews as well. I said fine. We went and I had a drink from Chick-fil-A that was just ice. The store manger said to put it outside which is fair. But there was no sign. I just waited by the door while my friend looked. The lady came up to me twice to ask me to put my drink outside even though I was not moving or touching the dresses and I was standing on time. Then she asked if I need assistance even though I mentioned that only my friend was looking. Once my friend asked where the clearance was she immediately lost interest in us didn't even offer help. While we were there multiple people walked in and then out after they were either asked to leave their stuff outside the store or because they didn't have a parent to accompany them or because there was no service and the store arrangement was noy clear. If they tried a little harder and were less rude they wouldn't have issue getting customers. If I am going to buy a 800 dollar dress, I want...

Rude, overpriced, and insensitive Upon arriving the Asian manager asked if I was the mother of the child I told them no and that the mother was no longer with us. She proceeded to tell me that she couldn't service us without the child's mother being present I asked her if that mattered since I would be the one paying for the dress. After a few minutes of back and forth she proceeded with well ill make an exception just this time she explained the rules and I allowed the child to go search for a dress.
I did proceed to speak with the manager and let her know that requesting parents specifically was insensitive because individuals may come in with other members of the family for different reasons. I explained to her that the reason the child's parent was not present was because she had recently died. She looked me in my face and said I can't read your mind you should have told me.
I told her I should not have to explain any further beyond im here and I'm paying!

We proceeded to look and I noticed an older white woman walking behind us she had a tag so I assumed she was looking with one of the other guest. Me and the child stopped to talk about a dress and she walked up and just stood there I asked her if she needed to get through she said no I turned and continued to talk. After a minute I noticed she didn't move I asked her if I could help her with something she said no so we walked away only for her to continue to follow us.
I left the store after that they where insensitive and continued to follow and watch us as if we where going to steal a dress and run out.
Don't go!!!!!
Check out the formal dress outlet in Hillsborough it was less crowded and everyone was helpful. Also same dresses 1/4...
Read moreThis was the most disappointing and absolutely disgusting shopping experience that I have ever had. From the moment I stepped in the door, I was judged the associates. The woman guarding the door looked me up and down, and in the most derogatory tone I have ever heard, said "My size 8's are on the back wall." Now, while I understand that she was intending to direct me to what she thought was my size, I was rendered extremely uncomfortable before I had even started to shop. In the past, I have worn dresses anywhere from size 0-4, but never an 8. After selecting 3 dresses to try on, I waited 20 minutes to be let into a dressing room. When I tried on the first size 8 dress, a two piece gown, I was swimming in it. It was clearly too large in every aspect, so I asked to be shown another size. I was then told that I would have to exit the dressing room and re-wait for a spot to try on a gown if I were to change the size of the dress, even though I had selected the size recommended to me by an associate. Upon closer inspection, every gown that I tried on had some type of makeup stain, sweat mark, or damaged zipper/button. At one point, the owner (who was fortunately not the woman in the front of the store), walked in to the dressing rooms and realized that none of her associates were in the back helping the girls zip up our dresses. She immediately accused the 10 customers in the dressing room of being rude to her associates, and explained that this was the only possible reason that they were not back there to help us. All in all, if you are looking to purchase a $500-700 gown that at least 40 other girls have tried on, sweated in, left makeup stains on, and damaged from a store with unbelievably dreadful customer service, this is your place. Otherwise, please do not...
