Intuitive Balance Massage — Local services in Raleigh

My man set me up with a massage as a gift. When he called to make an appointment there was no answer. He texted back a few minutes and offered us a discount. That was pretty nice. The studio is nearly impossible to find. The building is a maze. One moment the suite numbers were going down, the next they hop into the thirties. It took me 15 minutes to find the place. I find the place and was late at this point. The masseur greeted me and then said "Well, you're late, so that's going to cut into your time". That was a little upsetting, and I was already upset because I couldn't find the place. I explained why I was late, we tried to reschedule, but I couldn't really work with his schedule. Even if the reschedule was possible, I would not go back. Everything about thr interaction made me uncomfortable. First, the location is terrible. It's hard to find and there is only one very hard to see sign pointing the way (he told me about it, I never saw it myself). The studio is very poorly lit. It's not dimly lit in a relaxing way, it's scary dim. The masseur was wearing cargo shorts and a t shirt, which doesn't seem professional. He was unkempt and his manner did not put me at ease. John is amazing at what he does. I have a lot of back issues and I leave his massage sessions feeling like a new person, relaxed, and pain free. I am a medical professional so I am picky about where I go for a massage as well. He takes the time to ask you where you would like him to focus and how much pressure etc. The massage room is quiet, relaxing, and smells like a spa. He uses essential oils which I like a lot because I have really sensitive/ reactive skin. He is very good at communicating if you have questions and you can book appts via text with him. His prices are unbelieveable. Literally $40-45 for an hour intuitive massage. I am a regular customer now because his work is helping my back pain so much. John is polite, professional, and his office is spotless. I definitely recommend him. The location is great too because there are some other great businesses and art shops in the same building and within walking distance. Great...

John is an extremely skilled massage therapist. It is clear he knows what he is doing and enjoys his craft. He has a quiet and calm demeanor that puts you at ease immediately. He listens carefully to client expectations to ensure the type of massage/goal for the visit are exceeded. His space is convenient and easy to locate. He is EXTREMELY communicative and flexible with scheduling. I was a long time member at massage companies and wish I had made the switch sooner. With Intuitve Balance I know who will be doing the massage (no surprises day of appointment) and know if I do need to reschedule I won’t have to wait weeks.
