Never had an opportunity to taste the food. Ordered here on a recommendation. I ordered via phone so my order would be ready upon arrival. It's a Sunday morning, and the place had 25+ people in line. I enter to pick up, pay and leave. The barista says to me that I have to get in line to pay. Additionally, she said to me, "Many times we don't even start the food when people call ahead, your food may not be ready." I arrived 39 minutes after the phone order, even though I was told 15 minutes the food would be ready. The extra time I gave was just in case it was busy. My food had to be ready in 39 minutes from a phone order, right? What (non-luxury) standard restaurant in the U.S. takes phone orders and doesn't give them a priority? That's the purpose of a call-ahead!! There was a bag of food waiting to the right and the barista didn't even care to find if this was my food or not. I asked her "You want me to get in a line of approximately 25 people who haven't yet ordered, wait to pay, while my food gets cold?" She said, "Yes, unfortunately."
This is a golden opportunity for basic customer service training and principle as well, bearing-in-mind I would have been a 1st time customer. The lady taking the phone order should have separated phone ordering from online ordering (which she never suggested, nor did I know they offered). Needless to say, I will never return... How many other ways has that barista cost this restaurant customers and money? She had a careless attitude... I genuinely never write reviews and especially of this nature - but the barista taking our order made an uncomfortable comment about the fact that my girl was paying instead of me. I work currently in a service/client based industry and have worked in all manners of service industry. Banter and lighthearted jokes are a backbone of good people skills. This man obviously has that nuanced skillset and shouldn't be punished for it - however making an inference about a strangers potential financial situation is lacking in any awareness and tactfulness and straight up underhandedly insulting.
You never know what someones going through. I just started a new life and career for myself following a period of unemployment. My girl and I are long distance New Jersey to North Carolina, I spent the last of my pocket money to come see her for a few days. She's ecstatic to treat me, and the patronizing comment about her paying and "leaving me in charge of the order number" was in poor taste and a complete gamble in the dark on a stranger. Colored the entire experience, we will never be back, that barista should take a beat and develop a better understanding that their are full human beings behind every interaction.

Read moreI placed an order through DoorDash at 7 AM to be picked up at 8 AM. The order was confirmed and paid for. When my driver showed up to pick up my order, the restaurant told him that they do not have an for me I then call the restaurant and speak to Josie You informed me that they did find my order however it never got sent back to the kitchen. She Ask me if I want to cancel my order or If I still want my order. When I told her I wasn’t happy about how her restaurant handled the situation she explains to me that they have no control over DoorDash. Josie, I’m pretty sure You said that you guys failed to take the order back to the kitchen so let’s not blame DoorDash. DoorDash handled their end. You failed at yours. My order is now an hour late arriving, And she wanted to let me know that if I chose to keep my order, my DoorDash driver will be canceled and it will probably take them a while to send me out a new driver. Well… Josie, are you suggesting that I should cancel my order? Then the food arrives and it’s terrible thrown together and sloppy. In addition to spending $30 for an order that wasn’t worth $.30 I Felt bad that the driver had to waste so much time sitting there waiting for my food that I Felt obligated to give him an additional tip.
