Bought a washer and dryer that had to be delivered because they don’t stock those items anymore. Delivery would be 2 weeks out but we excepted and made the purchase. Day before the delivery we got our call stating delivery for the hours of 12pm to 4pm and WOULD receive a call 30 minutes prior to let us know they were on the way. Husband went home and waited. I never received a call and he ran out because we hadn’t heard from them yet know he could get home if and when they called. At 5pm I tried calling the numbers I was given for the delivery company only getting a recording stating my delivery times which it was already past that time. Called Home Depot who called them and was told they called and left messages which they did not and the company had no record of the calls either. They told me they would try to get them delivered or set up a new date because driver said it didn’t look like anyone was home and had taken pictures of our house but they never actually got out to knock on the door and check. We have a third vehicle in our driveway that was there on this date. So waited another hour for this company to call with more info and never got that call. Called back to speak with manager at Home Depot and he called company while I was in the phone with him. That company would not call me to answer my questions as to why we didn’t receive a call or when or where my purchased items were and when we might get them. Horrible customer service on their part. I told Home Depot who wanted to give a discount because of this problem. My problem was that even if they did that I still had no idea when my items would be delivered or where they were or if I’d ever get a call with this information and they would not call me to try and figure it out. I finally said forget it and went to Home Depot to get a refund. The manager didn’t even know how to do the return and had to call the company back to release the order or they couldn’t do the refund and an employee had to walk the manager through all of this in order to make that happen. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS AND HORRIBLE DELIVERY SERVICE. I will not be dealing with Home Depot ever again and my business will go to Lowes whom I have never had any...
Read moreMy family will be driving as far as we have to from now on for our appliance needs. I never write reviews and always try to give companies and people the benefit of the doubt but the past two experience’s with appliance delivery through Home Depot have been a absolute mess. The first time was approximately six months ago after ordering a washing machine the delivery date was changed 3 times all of which was never communicated to us we had to call in ( the day of no apology what so ever offered). I did not go out of my way at the time to voice my complaints due to Covid and most companies are short staffed and I get it. This most recent time we ordered a dishwasher we went in store prepared with the knowledge from our last experience with the questions to ask such as, is it in stock?, will Covid effect this delivery?, are you sure? Not only were these questions answered enthusiastically the sales representative even added she just sold the same model earlier because it had a Monday delivery date of today ( the 15th). Skip forward to today My husband took off work to make sure he was home for the delivery date we were assured was going to be met at 3:30pm I called the store to inquire about the dishwasher first the automated service was not functions so it had to ring through ( no less than 20 times ) until a real person answered and told me it was scheduled for the 22nd ( I know for a fact that was not the original agreement made in store In front of my husband and I or we would not of made the purchase) I was then transferred to a manger who was of no help nor apologetic who transferred me to a voicemail, I left a message and my husband was contacted within the hour to be told to bad basically. The icing on the cake is when we asked about having it installed and if it was done by a licensed plumber we were told “ No because West Virginia doesn’t require the installer to be licensed” after all the years and times we have had appliances installed we were never informed of this! My review of or local Home Depot would of been a one star but hey the times an unlicensed individual was installing products in our home nothing was broken so I guess...
Read moreI went to Home Depot in Ranson to buy granite countertops for my kitchen. The granite was to replace granite tile, which was there when i bought the home. I'd bought a condo in the past with tile on the counters and gone to another Home Depot years ago; the process was easy, they removed the tile, etc. and installed the granite, no problem. This time, the store had me purchase the granite, sight unseen. They didn't tell me what happens next; I had to pursue that myself. They then told me to go to Dulles to "pick" the slabs. I went to the warehouse in Dulles, but there was no "picking;" they had already pulled the slabs, so I could only refuse them, I guess. No one told me anything about process...after looking at these slabs, I went home and waited. I had signed in at the warehouse, and told them I was a Home Depot customer, which is all I knew to do. Then someone from Home Depot called to see if i had signed forms when I was at Dulles--i said no. So, I had to go back and do that. Their contractor came to measure and took some photos but didn't examine the cabinet/plywood interface. After that, the store called to say their contractor refused to remove the plywood/ cement board from the top of the cabinets, due to "liaibilities" and because it was such a long, laborious process. And they would not put granite over the plywood, so I had to reverse the sale. I then went down the street to ING Granite; they came and looked at the situation and said it would not be a problem to remove the plywood/cement board...and indeed, it was not a problem of any kind. It took them about an hour, and there was no damage done to the cabinets at all. What I can't understand is why Home Depot didn't say upfront that their contractor would not remove plywood/cement board from tile countertops...or that this was a real possibility. It resulted in huge inconvenience to me and lost them a sale...and as far as I can tell...for no...
