Subway — Restaurant in Ranson

Came in at 7pm on a Saturday night. I understand it’s a little late in the evening but the veggies looked like they’d been sitting for days! I can’t say how the meat looked because customers weren’t allowed to see it. They had a cover on. My husband asked to see the meats and she told him she can’t. SMH. My server’s name was Hailey. I told her 3 times that the spinach didn’t look good. She said nothing. I said I’d really like spinach but it looks so gross. She still said nothing just stared at me. Didn’t offer me fresh spinach. It was half wilted, brown and had strange chunks of something orange? Cheese? And other random things. Someone with a dairy allergy could get very sick. This lady couldn’t care less. She barely spoke any words at all. Just stood there with a blank face. The sauces were all covered in gunk and slime. Nothing here was clean or looked appetizing, from what I was allowed to view. I will not be back at this location. Also, the Subway sign is out. Not a single letter glows. So you can’t even see this place exists in the dark. Probably a good idea. Absolutely the Best Subway I've Ever Been To! I can’t say enough good things about this Subway in Ranson, WV. From the moment you walk in, everything just feels a cut above the rest—clean, welcoming, and genuinely well-run. The staff here are incredible: friendly, patient, and always happy to customize your order just the way you like it. Shoutout to Brynn (I think that was her name) for her amazing customer service—she made great suggestions and even remembered my order the next time I came in!The ingredients are consistently fresh—crispy veggies, perfectly baked bread, and clean prep stations every time I visit. Even during busy hours, the staff works quickly and efficiently without making anyone feel rushed. You can tell they take real pride in what they do. The store itself is spotless and has a nice, relaxed vibe—perfect for a quick lunch or even eating in. I’ve been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. That kind of consistency is rare and super appreciated. If you're in or around Ranson and craving a solid, delicious sub made with care, this is 100% the Subway to go to. Better than most fast food experiences by a mile....

This Subway should be shut down, or at the very least get a new owner. Multiple times I have come in to order, and there has been only one employee working. During a very busy time! How is this allowed?! The owner seems very irresponsible. I actually saw an employee, poor young kid, crying while working, because they were all alone and very distressed. No food service employee should have to deal with that.

If that information isn't enough for you, I also know that this Subway barely passed their last health inspection. I have seen many instances of unhygienic practices, things that I will not get into now, but very disgusting. At one point, I do remember this nasty fluid leaking from the ceiling, in an area where food was being prepared. It could have got on my food! Just highly disappointed with the practices that the owner of this Subway implements. The poor employees deserve better.
