We arrived at the restaurant expecting it to be busy it was mothers day..everywhere was busy. The hostess gave us a pager and said it would be 15-20 minutes..we were a party of 6. So this was at a quarter to 6. As we waited others were coming in and being seated immediately (smaller parties)so we understood. After 43 minutes of waiting a party of 8 walks in and is seated in 10 minutes. Which obviously was not even in the slightest way customer service friendly. The hostess then said they were waiting for one of the 6 tops to open up..there are people finished just not getting up. So 15-20 turned into an hour and 6 minutes. I should have left at this point but the party I was with insisted on staying. The waiter was over within minutes and took our drink order. About 20 minutes later we were able to place our food order, it appeared he had several tables with large groups. After we received our appetizers and they were pretty much done he returned and asked if we wanted a to-go box so of course it made since to get it out of the way since we had food on the way. When he returned with the to-go box I inquired about the food. The waiter said he didn't know why it was taking so long but there is someone else that is going to bring it out and the manager will stop by the table. We had already seen the manager at the table next to us. There had been some issues with their meal and he had been apologizing. When the food came out several items were missing there was a eaten shrimp shell in the order of fish tacos and the steak which was twenty dollars was cold and unseasoned. I refused to send anything back because after their track record for the day we would be there until after midnight and an "I'm sorry" from a member of the management team would have only made the situation worse. So we paid our tab of over 120 dollars and I tipped my waiter his 18% (it was not his fault he is employed by a poorly managed restaurant). We will not be returning and the other members in my party agree they too will not spend another dollar in this restaurant. If you chose to take a chance on dining here please take your patience with you and clear your schedule....
Read moreMy fiance and I eat at glory days about once a week. There is no spot in the restaurant where you don't have a view of at least 2 or 3 different TV's, and they put a speaker on your table you can tune to whichever screen you want to watch. We love to watch football there, especially when both our teams are playing at the same time. The food is normally very very good. Their wings are the best in town, I recommend the bone in wings with glory sauce. I read another review where they said their family was served raw wings. My fiance and I have probably eaten 100 orders of wings there in the past 18 months and we have NEVER been unhappy with our wings, so maybe that was just a fluke for that customer. They have some really cool entrees that the typical Applebees type place doesn't, like their crab cake sliders or the Pittsburgher, which probably has a pound of sliced meat on it and can be ordered with a friend egg on top. I've found their burgers to be pretty so-so, and I don't normally order them (there is a five guys across the street we go to when we want a good burger), but most of the other stuff on the menu is reliably excellent. We love all the appetizers, the sliders, their wings, their ribs, and their sandwiches. They do have a generally younger staff, and some of them seem a bit immature, but they also have a great group of waitresses that remember the regulars. We can be somewhat picky about where we want to sit to view our games, and they always accommodate us without any fuss. Its a sports bar type atmosphere so we don't go in with the expectation that our waiter will stand over our shoulder and push in our chair. One tip: after 9 pm they have a fantastic selection of $5 appetizers. We go there all the time at 9 and order 2 orders of wings nachos for a light dinner, for $15.
Glory days is definitely the best sports bar and grille in town to watch your favorite game, and we think its one of the better restaurants in...
Read moreWhere do I begin... I'll start out by saying that our Korean wings, clam chowder, fried fish and meatloaf was good. Besides the Glory burger, our food was tasty. Now for the dirty lowdown: 1.) Smell of greasy, dirty floors & tables. The smell was pretty heavy throughout the restaurant. It was pretty hard to enjoy sitting there when all we could smell was heavy grease, dirt and unwashed wood...dirty everything: tables, Chairs, floors, booths, menus, napkins.
2.) Table surface wasn't super clean...felt greasy.
3.) My Bloody Mary came without anything in it...no celery, no olives...just a Bloody Mary that had more mix that vodka.
4.) Waters didn't arrive until we had been sitting there a good 20-30 minutes.
5.) Set after set of flatware was dirty, water spotted, greasy and the spoon that came with my chowder had already been used.
6.) The vinegar brought out for my fried fish had lots of white build-up on the inside of the jar with copious amounts of slimy slime floating throughout...and it wasn't the "mother."
7.) The napkins were drenched in grease...these people do not know how to clean anything...their flatware, the napkins, their glasses, their floors.
8.) Soggy fries...nothing worse than soggy fries.
9.) Every plate brought to our table was covered in greasy. Greasy fingerprints all over the plates...including the plate that held my bowl of chowder.
10.) Everything stunk and felt dirty. If we hadn't been so hungry and had a substantial drive home ahead of us, we would've turned around when we smelled how dirty this restaurant was.
Not trying to be mean but I'm surprised this Glory Days location is still in operation. If you're desperately hungry and cannot possibly wait to eat, then go. If, however, you can manage to wait a few more minutes, go somewhere else...you'll thank me for it. There was absolutely nothing glorious about our time at Ranson, West...
