A family member bought an expensive piece of furniture at this location. The doors on it all started warping about four months after purchase, and are now bowed out over an inch, with screws showing that are pulled out of the wood. The Store Manager acted like the trucks that bring their merchandise are from some mystery company and not Home Goods, and that somehow makes them not responsible. He said there was nothing that could be done without a receipt. Found the receipt and showed it to him, but he again said there's probably nothing they could do. No help with a vendor contact to possibly replace the doors. He suggested we could "bring it in" and see if they could do anything. I could tell by his garbage attitude that that would be an even bigger waste of time. Sure, I want to lug this big piece of furniture back to your store and again be told there's nothing you can do. Never got even a slight smile out of him, much less an apology. If this is their customer service leader, then this store is in big trouble. What I will do is not purchase furniture there again. I guess they need to hire a manager who actually rolls their sleeves up and helps on the floor when foot traffic is high. Instead, they just enjoy disappearing in the back somewhere and not coming out the entire hour I walked around trying to find someone to help me buy a $300+ rug and a couple of floor lamps.
Poor little old lady at the front is doing her best to be nice to customers who are now frustrated and treating her bad in response.
Hire more people by paying them appropriately and get rid of the lazy managers who use their position as if they...
Read moreI bought a tea kettle here, thei top fell apart when I used it. When I returned it, I didn't have my receipt, but they had the exact thing in the store. 3 cashier Karen's acted disgusted that it was "used" ( to boil water), another said I probably bought it somewhere else, a third said she couldn't do anything until I could tell her the date and which register I bought it at and she'd look to see. Bottom line, they don't stand behind their products, preferring to treat customers with contempt. I've enjoyed shopping there in the past, but...
