Today I stopped by the Sephora inside of the Kohl's in Redmond, to buy a very specific Clinique mascara and maybe to pick up a new perfume. After I wandered for a little bit, I realized what a great selection of products they have in this little Sephora! Everything was neat, organized and brightly colored. (Just what I need from a retail therapy trip. )
I found plenty of fragrances but was too tired to keep searching for the mascara, so I asked an employee at the cash register if he could help me find what I was looking for. He was busy, he had things to do, and I could tell he really didn't have time to help me, BUT he dropped what he was doing and immediately walked with me to find the specific color and style of Clinique mascara that I had to get. And he didn't make me search through the various mascaras myself! He reached in and actually filtered through them until he found the exact one I requested, and then handed it to me and said I could come ring up when I was ready. Honestly, He was SO helpful, And so kind, and he really just took the time to make me feel comfortable in the store, even after I had sprayed the worst smelling perfume Ive ever encountered and almost gassed us all out of there with the scent of somebody's uncles drug store cologne!!! (Smh, I should have been 86' for that..... It was just nasty!!) I came here today specifically to write this review because I see that this young man, his name is Qasil, is leading by example, setting a very high bar for his coworkers to rise and meet him at.
I've worked retail, we all know it's gruelling at times, and I can't tell you how hard it is to find employees who truly treat every customer with kindness and respect and actually make the effort to give that customer the best four or five minutes of their day! Thank you Qasil , for making my day just a little bit easier and thank you for letting me ask every boring old lady question that I needed to! I hope your supervisors take the time to read this and to let you know that your expediency and your professionalism is appreciated!!!! Thank you for leading by example for your coworkers, and for holding yourself and other employees to the high standard of service that we have come to expect from Sephora!
I hope you are given a shot at a leadership position while you are there at Sephora. Because you're already doing a great job of representing the Kohl's and Sephora brands!! Imagine if all the employees had your work ethic..... It would definitely elevate the whole experience for the shoppers!!!

Of course, I went to Kohl's today to return a product from Amazon. Amazon's returns department was nice and handled my case quickly. But now speaking of Amazon, I'm sharing my very bad and sad experience of buying from Amazon here because anyway it's related to the Amazon return unit at Kohl's. It's unbelievable, it took five days to get a Barbie Dollhouse with Amazon Prime account. which my 6-year-old daughter wanted to be delivered to us. One day late, they sent us a completely broken, destroyed and terrible package. I asked the driver, how dare you deliver this broken package? He answered, "I am just a driver." I called Amazon's customer service and after talking to 3 different supervisors, the last one was very rude and irresponsible, they finally gave me the solution to return the box and get your money back after a week. What is your responsibility against wasting customers' time? There was no answer. I asked what responsibility do you have for hurting the feelings of a little girl who waited for five days and is now faced with a broken package? They had no answer. I asked, so in fact, Amazon has no responsibility towards its customers? They had no answer. I suggest that it is better to say no to this vile and irresponsible octopus once and for all.
