When I was there a summer camp group in orange vests had taken over the playground so that was probably a little crowded but otherwise the park was great. The grounds are really well cared for: lush green grass and pretty planted beds, tall old shady trees. There are no trails or hikes here since it's just a city block or so. There is space to throw a frisbee or a football.
I was there to kill some time and I did it pleasantly at a picnic table near the cabins. There were at least three picnic tables as well as a shelter you can rent. I looked in the windows of the cabins and saw that they are well set up to host small meetings with foldable tables and chairs and some presentation equipment.
I will definitely go back here. It's cool on a hot day and it's a great place to read or meet...
Read moreGreat park my kid thinks its his park because we've been going their his entire life. Great to bring a blanket and lay out in the sun or shade and watch the kids play and have a picnic. Only complaint is that the covered sitting area is plagued with homeless and drug dealers makes me nervous when the kids run over trying to play their, the dealers drop off their kids to play and leave them their unattended while they do their business elsewhere. Several times this last summer teenagers were coming over blasting music with curse words while hogging the swings and even had the police called on them to kick them out. Sad to see it going downhill. During winter bathrooms are closed im assuming because the homeless will live in...
Read moreThis is an awesome park with a playground in the heart of Redmond! It's got street parking seeing the sides as well as a small parking lot next to the playground. (Technically the parking lot belongs to a church, but you're welcome to park there if it's not Sunday.) There's a small play structure and a large play structure, teeter totter, tire swing, swings, and a large sandbox. There are flat sidewalks good for small kids on balance bikes or strollers. The lawns are big as well. There are bathrooms and a water fountains, but those get turned off / locked during the winter. The whole thing is ringed by hedges, so even though it's right on Redmond Way, I feel quite safe with...
