This is my first review ever because ive never felt more betrayed or angered by someone that claimed to be " professional". Please NEVER EVER EVER EVER go to the salon for makeup. I got my makeup done "professionally" for prom, and they took so long (3 hours) that i missed the pre-party and food for my prom, AND i still had to go home, take all the makeup off, and do it myself. it was a total waste of money and a terrible use of time. They tried to cover up their makeup mistakes by just adding more cakey foundation on top of everything, and at the end of it, i looked orange and super cakey and fake. she forgot to do my eyebrows, my under-eye eyeliner, countouring, blush, highlight, and mascara (all things i asked for at the beginning). she knew she was rushed on time, so she just announced that she was done, when CLEARLY things were not nearly close to finished. when she did my fake lashes, she glued my eyes shut, and forced my to try to open them, and then they started stinging because the glue was not dry, and had seeped into my eyes. When doing eyeshadow, she spend over 45 minutes, literally, just trying to use the right colors and ended up messing it up anyways because she made it go all the way up to my brows. Overall, very terrible, unreliable, unprofessional place to get makeup done. I would definitely NOT recommend. The girl that did mine was named "brittany". At the beginning of the appointment, i told her i was nervous because i heard that sometimes, these types of things go very wrong, and she assured me with very high confidence, that she was amazing at makeup and that i would not be leaving there unhappy. she was 100% wrong.
The professional hair, on the other hand is amazing. I would highly highly recommend "Brandi" for hair. I was so pleasantly surprised when she was finished. She kept in mind what i asked for, and often asked if i liked the way it was looking and if i wanted something to be changed. It was even better then i was hoping...
Read moreI stopped in for a few items. The first girl with the glasses I asked was friendly and seemed to be running around trying to manage the register and ask many people if they needed help. She was helping me, but had to leave to go back to the register. She explained to another employee that I needed help. This employee continued walking so I figured that she was busy, but was still confused why she didnât ask if I needed help even though she knew I did (the very very rude representative named Bridgid.) I started walking around the store trying to find the item I was looking for by myself. After walking past the one representative I saw at least three times, I went up to her and said do you work here? She had clearly seen me walk past/looking for items but kept ignoring me. When I went up to her, I asked if they had a laminating gel/brush. She said we do laminating here, which I had already specified that I was just looking for the gel and brush because I already got my eyebrows laminated elsewhere and I just want to maintain them. She seemed reluctant to help me, but then said we have an elf product for you and listed no other brands. I said do you have anything other than elf (because youâd think they would list off some higher end products.) She reluctantly said Anastasia as if I couldnât afford it or something or wasnât deserving to wear ?? Very rude and standoffish. She seemed like she may have been a manager too. The other two employees we much friendlier and seemed more willing and knowledgeable of makeup. Brigid has zero customer service skills whatsoever and I have no idea how she became a manager. If she hates it there so much and wants to help no one, including her own employees, she should really quit. P.s, I am an avid ulta shopper who just moved here from Milwaukee, WI and I will never return to this...
Read moreGoing to this location of ulta was like stepping into a makeup version of Walmart. Before I even went into the store I called to have something put on hold. An employee I think her name was Ashwini or something like that answered and told me the item I wanted to put on hold was out of stock and I asked to put a different version of it on hold instead. She said they had it and that she would put it on hold for me. I get to the store to find out they actually didnât have it in stock and she asked if I wanted the rose water version of it instead and I said I couldnât do rose water. She did an online order for me in the store and I clarified my address with her and apartment number twice with her to make sure my entire address including the apartment number was correct to make sure the item got to my address ok. After the online order was placed, I went to my emails to check the order confirmation only to find out she didnât put in my apartment number after I asked her twice to make sure my apartment number was clearly on there before placing the order. A different manager came over after I had to stand for a long time waiting for someone to fix this mistake and basically told me their is nothing they can do to help me and told me I had to call a customer service number to fix the mistake they created. They didnât offer anything to compensate for the terrible experience they gave me. Itâs sad this location has gone downhill since I actually used to work at this Ulta location back in the day. Donât recommend coming here and I wonât be returning to this Ulta location after this experience. The customer service...
