Love DJ's Sportscards. Been coming here since I was in Elementary school, although they've since changed locations. Their new location is much more spacious and secure. It's right next to the Pickled Onion where the old DOL used to be in the East Renton Highlands. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. Their staff gave me some pro-tips for new collectors. They always have wide range of stock across multiple sports. I like that they also have memorabilia. My kids enjoy the multiple glass cases, Legos, and Pokémon cards. Prices are collector prices but generally fair market value. Lots of singles and signed cards. I need to take advantage of their stacks of signed Seahawks player photos to complement my collection. I've had good luck dropping a line on social media when they show off new arrivals and putting items on hold for me. I go and pick them up the following business day on the way home from work. Very convenient, although they use a service called WhatNot that I haven't checked out yet. Topps Hobby Rip Night was neat. Took my son and he got a full cool pulls. DJ had ice cream going and some free goodies for those who showed up. There was definitely a line out the door that morning but no problem getting in and spending some QT there. DJ's is legendary and best card shop in the area hands down.

DJ’s has always been good to my family and I. I am greeted immediately upon entry and they always meet my needs for TCG collecting. 1 stop shop for card savers, sleeves, Pokémon sealed and singles. Recently i started selling some of my sealed collection to him to continue my hobby and I’ve always been treated fairly. Very open communication and I never feel pressured. Always ended on a win-win and left happy. Will continue coming here to buy sell and tell others of my experience! On your next day off definitely take the time to check out one of Renton’s hidden gems. Best regards,

Best sportscards shop. Period. Excellent customer experience along with fair prices. While I was looking at baseball cards, Rick Rizz, the voice of Seattle Mariners baseball, stopped in to pick up memorabilia for a charity he was supporting. I wasn't going to bother him, but DJ pointed out that I was a fan and Rick then spent a few extra minutes to chat and signed a baseball for me which DJ offered up. Thanks again, DJ! I will definitely be back.

If you need sportscards, non sports cards, LEGOS or just anything collectible that is sports related, this is the place. You can't miss it. There is so much stuff to sift through that they have stuff displayed outside in the front of the store. The owner Don is incredibly knowledgeable and their prices are extremely competitive (that includes Ebay and Amazon). I have noticed a very small minority of reviews that claim that they were either met with rudeness or felt their collections were not valued adequately. I hate to tell those folks that with the massive changes in the marketplace due to the advent of Ebay and the overproduction of sportscards from the late 80s to the early 90s, prices for many cards have fluctuated and unfortunately, many have lost their value over time. Sometimes it is difficult to accept that your "prized collection" isn't worth as much as you thought it was. However, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy collecting. It shouldn't just be about the money. Sorry for the digression, as for the shop, it has just about everything a collector needs including card supplies as well as some autographed memorabilia. They also cater to every budget including cards for a quarter and some great buys on sportscards including rookies in his unheralded 99 cent boxes. I would definitely recommend that you allocate at least an hour just browsing through all his huge inventory and be prepared to buy something that wasn't on your want list to begin with. Also, if you are into Pokemon or Magic, he has that covered too. I just wish his shop had more room to move around but that is well worth the price to pay to find that special item for your collection. I sincerely hope the shop never closes at least in my lifetime. Well worth a trip if you...

If you’re looking for a fair and welcoming place to buy/sell/trade Pokémon cards, beware of DJ’s Sportscards.

The guy working the Pokémon counter was flat-out rude and made it very clear he didn’t care about customers. While I was in the store, I watched him lowball a kid and his mom who had brought in 20+ beautiful cards all of them full arts, SIRs, and a couple masterballs from prismatic. Every card was in sleeves and protectors, and the kid was so excited to trade them in for cards he really wanted.

Here are just a few of the cards: Crispin – 171/131 – SV: Prismatic Evolutions (PRE) Team Rocket’s Proton – 227/182 – SV10: Destined Rivals (DRI) Swoobat – 120/086 – SV: White Flare (WHT) Hop’s Wooloo – 170/159 – SV09: Journey Together (JTG) Exeggutor (Master Ball Pattern) – SV: Prismatic Evolutions (PRE) Glaceon (Master Ball Pattern) – SV: Prismatic Evolutions (PRE)

Instead of being honest, the guy offered them $50 trade-in or $30 cash, for a collection that was worth well over $200. His excuse? “Singles sit for a while.” Thankfully, the mom declined, but the way he spoke down to them was just despicable.

I ended up chatting with them outside and showed them how to look up values on TCG Player, which confirmed what I suspected: they were being ripped off. For a young fan who pulled those cards himself and just wanted something special in return, that kind of treatment is a great way to lose a lifelong customer.

DJ’s should be ashamed. This type of behavior discourages kids, takes advantage of parents, and poisons what should be a fun, welcoming hobby community. There are plenty of other local shops and online options where you’ll be treated fairly and respectfully, this isn’t...

A Hidden Gem for Sports Card Enthusiasts!

If you're a sports card enthusiast like myself, DJ's Sportscards is an absolute must-visit! After relocating from Hawaii, I stumbled upon this gem in Renton, and let me tell you, it exceeded all my expectations.

From the moment I stepped foot in the store, I was greeted with an extensive collection of sports cards, ranging from $0.25 card boxes to $0.99 select card boxes. It was like stepping into a collector's paradise! Not to mention, the impressive assortment of Seattle sports memorabilia and retro card boxes cater to every fan's nostalgia.

But what truly sets DJ's Sportscards apart is DJ himself. His warm and welcoming demeanor instantly made me feel at ease. Unlike other card shop owners I've encountered, DJ never once made me feel rushed or pressured while browsing through the cards. It was refreshing to have the freedom to explore at my own pace, knowing that DJ was always available to offer assistance whenever needed.

His knowledge and passion for the hobby are evident, and he goes above and beyond to ensure that every customer has a memorable experience. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just starting out, DJ's willingness to help and genuine enthusiasm make every visit unforgettable.

In short, if you find yourself in the Evergreen state, do yourself a favor and make a beeline for DJ's Sportscards. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. With its unbeatable atmosphere, top-notch selection, and exceptional service, it's a solid 10/10 in my book. I can't wait to go back for my next...
