Renton River Days — Local services in Renton

Stop closing all routes through town down when operating this event. People live or work in this district and there are not a lot if any work arounds. When you terminate the one or two routes through town, that's not convenient for locals. It can also hinder fire and emergency to get through to destination efficiently. The last few years I had to make an illegal left to get the direction that sent me north instead of back thru town. Side business made it impossible to do a u turn in their parking lot because they did set ups to prevent cut throughs or anyone from even accessing their lots.

Never close the freeway down again during this event as you did during 2024. Grady way was just a parking lot and people couldn't get any where due to the over flowing traffic. I almost gave up and called out. If you ever do this again and if I can't get thru town by a certain time frame I will call out.

Every year these events seem to be less coordinated and just chaos around town. Business loose parking because people are park n' riding around town and will take any slot they can. Vendor shops use to be independent shops of artists but now they seem to be big box retailers taking over the event. They use to have a small section in the event but that has vastly grown and quickly removing the independent booths.

I use to go to river days but now I don't. It's too crowded, it gets shoulder to shoulder packed by 11 am and gets unpleasant to look around or even meander in the event. The landing is over flowing with event people and tough luck getting parking down there for errands. I feel bad for landing employees because that area is used as over flow parking from time to time and no enforcement at all. I'm glad I turned down the two could of been jobs down there fully...

Very odd set up this year. Very poor signage to lead visitors to the bazaar area for shopping and not enough food trucks to stay in the area. We loved to music stage and beer garden, just put them closer to the stage next time...

Poorly organized, not that many food options, no animals . Ended up getting a smoothie and a lemonade but they ran out of straws kinda lame for being a Saturday afternoon and they had the rest of...
