Well let me start off by saying I have purchased furniture from Discount Rugs and Furniture in Matteson, Il and I never had a problem until recently. I purchased a sectional prior to moving out of state because that was my go to furniture store so I purchased a sectional and put it in storage until I moved in my place in Texas. When I move I set up my sectional and noticed addional legs which I thought was an error but after further investigation and putting the sectional together I realized that the entire lower part of my sectional where the chaise is was missing! I have contacted the store every week just so I can get the bottom piece to my sectional! Everything I have been asked to do I have done it! I took pics, sent pics of the invoice but to no avail nothing has been done! I didn't even want to post a review but this is just riduculous...I spent my hard earned money on a 1000+ dollar sectional to be ignored because their incompentant worker did not put all the pieces on my moving truck after I waited 20 mins to be loaded up! Discount Rugs and Furniture I want the piece to my sectional you have what you request can I have what I paid for? People please beware.
UPDATE 12/20/18 I recently spoke to Ayman at the Oak Lawn location before Thanksgiving and he informed me that I would receive the missing piece to my sectional shortly after the holiday. He informed me they would rectify the issue even if it was the movers fault for losing the piece...1st there was no movers I picked the sectional from the Chicago Heights location myself and me and my family took everythg that we received and put it in my home when we got to our new location so it really pisses me off for them to insinuate that I was at fault for their mistake! Fast forward to today I called and spoke with another manager who stated that he knew me and the piece was ordered and when I begin to ask how long does it take to get one piece he begin to tell me they are helping me despite the fact that I told them that the movers lost the piece...wow...I NEVER TOLD THEM ANYTHING LIKE THAT...the missing piece to my sectional has resulted in the same story with each call I don't want anythg from this company that is not owed to me! Ayman requested that I remove this review and I am sure had I done that maybe I would have gotten my piece but I will not remove my review because it is the truth and I just want what I paid for! Each call I receive the same information "we ordered the piece and it will be sent to you when we receive it from the manufacturer"! Well I contacted the manufacturer American Furniture and they informed me if they did not send a piece to the furniture company all the furniture company has to do is contact them and they would get that piece out to them ASAP but I am being told somethg otherwise! The manager today told me the furniture company is closed from now until January so I probably won't get the piece for Christmas either! People please pay attention to not just the positive reviews but the negative as well because this is a real situation! As I stated in my first review I had no issue with Discount Rugs and Furniture and they were my go to furniture store but this has made me wish I would have purchased furniture in Texas! Dishonest practices will not get you far in this world I paid for somethg I did not receive I have no reason to lie about that Discount Rugs...
   Read moreMy husband and I went it this store to purchase furniture for our new home, we kept asking would everything be able to be delivered by the 1st of August. They assured us that everything would be available and ready to be delivered by the 1st. We purchased everything in cash once they promised that everything would be ready and delivered by the 1st. I received a call the day before the 1st letting me know that the frame for my bed and the chest for my bedroom set didnât get delivered in time. I asked when will they get delivered, they tell me well the frame by next Saturday and the chest that will be delivered that following Saturday. I upset because they told us multiple times EVERYTHING would be delivered on August 1st! I calm myself down and pretty much let it slide. So they deliver the remainder of our order on the 1st. They get done putting everything together and ask me to come look at everything. As I look at my two sons room I notice they only put the frames together but I saw no mattress sets. I ask the delivery guys if they forgot to add them and they tell me no that wasnât on my order. I call the store and the girl that answers the phone tries to gaslight as if Iâm slow, sheâs like you only ordered the bed frames you know you have to buy the mattress sets separately right? First off, when the girl who put our order read our order back to us she had the mattress sets included in our order. She even picked them out for us stating how nice they were! The delivery guys even stated that they mess up orders all the time. So I had to go back up to the store and order two bed sets and then wait until Saturday for them to be delivered. So Saturday comes and and mind you I had to call the store to see what time my items were being delivered. They told me 1-3 pm. So at 2:48 pm I called the store again to see what time they were being delivered they said yes they you down for a 4-6 pm delivery. So they changed my time delivery time without informing me, I had plans that I had to cancel because of this. Now fast forward to today, which is the following Saturday, I call the store to ask about what time my chest for my room set will be delivered today. Once again, the lady who answers the phone is rude! I remain professional because so many people lack customer service skills Iâm honestly just become accustomed to it. She puts me on hold and then places the owner on the phone, he tells me my chest still isnât in but should be here by Monday or Tuesday and then tries to rush me off the phone. Like how patient do you expect us to be? We have been patient throughout all these mishaps but itâs like they take our kindness for granted. I explained my point of view on how this makes me feel on the phone to the owner however it went over his head. Terrible communication throughout this whole process, my husband and I have been patient and kind and this is what we get in return. However Iâm highly upset I order new furniture from this store and one of their delivery guys Jeremy or Dawayne stole my husbands wedding ring also they broke my standing mirror that I ordered and told me that one of my nightstands couldnât be put up because it would fit in the space so they were taking it back to the store for a store creditđ¤Śđžââď¸ Now I have to wait for my mirror to be delivered because itâs on back order. I called the guys first of course they denied it than I called the store manager Hassan he stated âI wish you wouldve moved the jewelry before they got thereâ đ¤ This is my home correct ? He called back an hour later and basically called me a balled face liar by telling me that the gentleman have worked for him for 5yrs and I needed to look around my roomđł I cried so hard because I just canât believe someone would come into my home and steal right under my nose, itâs very saddening because I offered them cold water thanked them for doing a wonderful job and you steal WHY?
