Will not be going back to this store and I suggest you don't either.
My husband and I came into this store in late January to get new phones. His phone was in stock, mine had to be ordered (no biggie). We easily spent over an hour in this store working with Erik and he told us multiple times that all we had to do for my phone was come back in a few days and pick it up and be on our way. Erik also gave us the sales pitch about how we were eligible for the Verizon Internet on a 30 day free trial. He told us multiple times that if we weren't not happy with it that all we had to do was bring it back in and they would print us a return label.
We paid what we were told was all of our set up, taxes and activation fees for everything and left.
Later that week, I went back to pick up my phone and was told by a different associate that I needed to pay the $100 in taxes on the phone before I could leave with it. I explained everything Erik told us on our first visit and they double checked the receipt and I was told that we had not been charged for this phone and needed to pay the taxes on it in order to take it. After being told earlier in the week that all fees and taxes were taken care of, I was annoyed but I paid it and left.
We ultimately decided we don't want to keep the Verizon Internet as it does not work very well and I need a reliable connection to work from home so we went back to the store today to get the return label (like our original associate Erik, told us to) and were told that they can't print the labels there. We'd have to go home, call 611 and have them send us one. My husband has now been on the phone with customer service for 45 minutes trying to get this dealt with. If we had known it was going to be a run around to get a return label for the router, we never would have agreed to try it. It all screams predatory sales practices to me and I am waiting for a call from the store manager.
I'm also patiently waiting for our bill to cycle so we can see how messed up...
Read moreCAUTION when using this TCC store! Ask questions about specific pricing and perks/plans that will be added before continuing to get help. We were helped by Isaax. We originally came into the store to find out what promotions were available to upgrade our phones and lower our bill. Of course, in order to get a new iPhone 16, we had to upgrade our plans, so we did to the Unlimited Ultimate. Isaax told us all phone prices were going up substantially due to tariffs so to take advantage of the promotions now. FYI, the new iPhone 16 does NOT have a sim card. He told us the amount we were paying was for standard taxes and fees associated with trading in our old phones and getting new ones. It wasn't until I got home and looked at the receipt that he charged us an extra $29.99 for EACH phone for setup assistance and ANOTHER $29.99 for each phone for a Redux Water Protection. He never told us there would be a charge to help set up our phones or the addition of the water protection. Also, he added a 3 PERKS (Apple Music Family, Disney + and Apple One) to our Verizon account, 2 at $10 each a month and 1 at $15 without telling us. I called Verizon and cancelled them. PLUS Verizon also charged us $40 for an upgrade fee!! So, time will tell if the information Isaax gave us about the Unlimited Ultimate Plan will turn out to be correct. He said if our phones were out of a service area that we would be connected to satellite so we would never be without service. We haven't seen this happen yet but we haven't been off grid for any period of time. If you decided to use this store, ASK about specific charges and CHECK your Verizon BILL to make sure additional services weren't added to your bill. Unfortunately, the store doesn't give you a receipt or paperwork that shows specifically the extra amounts and promised discounts for your plans and the Verizon billing statements can be confusing to interpret and help from Verizon is...
Read moreThis particular store always has one person working and it takes forever to just pay your bill if the person in front of you in line is signing up or anything. Always makes me frustrated standing there all day when all im trying to do is make a payment.
Second of all I hate Verizon wireless I can't wait till my contract is up. We signed up and our first few months bills were the price we were told they would be. But over time the price has slowly gone up! Also don't do any phone updates on your iPhones! Ever! Always go in and ask. My husband and I pay five dollars extra every month so we don't go over on data then one day we got a text message saying we have used 3 GB more data than our limit! When we called the customer service they let me know that when I did the update on my phone it canceled the family-based plan We used. Although the people in store told me that the woman on the phone was incorrect ... Just makes me even more upset not knowing which of them is full of it!
Also we were told about a secret hidden in our phone that was using our data even when we were connected to Wi-Fi. If you go in your settings, and go down to cellular, and then go down to Wi-Fi assist turn it off it is automatically turned on on every iPhone and it means that if you have a weak Wi-Fi signal at all it uses your cellular data so before you know it you've used all of your data...
