Bygones Vintage Clothing — Local services in Richmond

Pricey, but high quality. I still have a dress (in great condition) that I bought there six years ago. (granted, I don't wear it very often at all on account of it having been $90, but when I do wear it, I get lots of compliments).

Even though I can almost never afford to buy clothes here, I still love to visit. It's super fun and has a friendly atmosphere, and they let you play dress up. When I was a teenager, my friend and I had been dumped around the same time. We were window shopping together and stumbled upon some wedding dresses they had hanging up. One thing led to another and my friend and I were in wedding clothes and accessories and the employees were taking wedding photos for us to prank our family and friends with. We didn't actually buy anything that day but we did post the photos online and it had a lot of my extended family members...

I adore this store. Bygones Vintage Clothing is a fabulous shop with a plethora of selected accessories, hats, gloves, coats, vests, pants, dresses, and more. Every time I come to town to perform with the wonderful Richmond Symphony Orchestra, I pay a visit to this charming, well-appointed boutique. (It’s often the first place I visit the moment I drive into town; prior to checking to the hotel.) As I travel North America performing with other orchestras, people will frequently ask where I found the coat or vest or accessory I’m wearing, and I’m happy to share my experiences at Bygones located in Richmond, Virginia. As I visit each city, I seek out vintage shops. There are equally wonderful shops in Philadelphia, etc. - but Richmond directly benefits from having Bygones as one of it’s standout...

I love coming to this store when I'm in Richmond because I'm into vintage clothing and accessories. I live in Austin, and to my knowledge we don't have a store that provides reproductions of vintage items like this one. So I make a point to stop by. I recently got married and wanted to wear something from this store because my theme was "vintage inspired" and it has meant so much to me to have access to a store like this one. I found a beautiful hair clip for around $25 that I incorporated into my wedding hairdo (pic provided). I had the classic hollywood style going and the clip made my vision come true. Thank you Bygones Vintage for always having the coolest selection! I hope I can get back to Richmond...
