I’ve been to this store a bit. Initially I really liked it. Whenever you’d walk in the door there was an employee ready to assist you. It’s always been friendly and accommodating. The store is a fun place especially if you’re looking for unique games ect.
Today was a little different. Went in to buy 4 gift cards. When I walked in I was surprised nobody was at the front counter but thought they were helping someone. Looked around and nobody. Finally I worked my way to the back of the store and found they’ve added a counter there for things like card trading and collecting. There were 2 guys behind the counter talking to a single customer. Both my wife and I approached the counter multiple times to ask for assistance but with no response. These guys were so into talking about some fantasy game they couldn’t recognize another person.
We looked around the store again and again and couldn’t find another person to help us. Finally, I walked up to the back counter and interrupted their game talk. I asked if there was someone working in the store to help other customers. I was told they both worked at the store. One guy stomped upfront and helped us begrudgingly.
Fun store, good inventory. Customer service sucks unless you’re playing fantasy games and want to...
Read moreEdit: I moved my review to a 1. I'm extremely disappointed in the stores decision to charge 300% over MSRP for certain Disney products. That's not a typo. That is three hundred percent.
$6 product selling for $20. $17 product selling for $60. $50 product selling for $150.
This behavior and level of price gouging is unbelievable. There was an opportunity to do right by your local customers instead of taking advantage of them.
I've spent hundreds if not thousands at Tetons over the years and I regret every penny of it.
Maybe this review will change again if they decide to re engage in more ethical selling practices. For now though, I'll find another store.
I'm not mad, I'm just saddened that my favorite toy/game store went this direction.
Best of luck in your future.
Original review: There are so many toys and trinkets you will not find at other large retailers. I get that it's a toystore so of course you'll find more but they have the largest selection of fun stuff for all ages that far surpasses any toy store I've...
Read moreI’m appalled at their card section in this store. I am a mtg player, and wanted to support a local store rather than order online, which typically means slightly higher prices. Their markups are atrocious. Multiple products selling for over double their value, many others close. The problem with this is that anyone who understands the value of this market won’t purchase from them, however people buying gifts (such as parents) don’t understand what they are buying, so they don’t see the rip off. It seems they want to take advantage of people who aren’t as knowledgable to maximize profit, which feels sleezy to me. I came in to buy a few 22.85 dollar packs (online price) and they were priced at 35.99. For this reason I will not shop here until this is remedied, and will discourage others if possible. It’s just a scam to take advantage of people who don’t know what they’re...
