The couch we bought here was advertised as pet friendly. I donât even have a pet and I can tell you that it is definitely not as durable as they made it out to be. Just by regularly sitting on it like normal humans do, it started getting loose seams about 5 months in, so I cannot imagine a dog or cat going at this couch. I have loose seams on a pillow and on the couch that seem unreasonable based on the fact that they happened not even 6 months after purchase. The part that is making me write this review is that I reached out to Wallaroos Customer Service and was basically told âsorryâ. It is clearly faulty and requires some repair, couches shouldnât be coming apart from merely sitting on them to watch tv once a day. The person at customer service told me the threads were decorative whichâŚmaybe? I mean, itâs a hem on the entirety of the couch and integral to the look of the couch and why we purchased it. They encouraged me to cut out the âloose threadâ and said I didnât purchase a warranty, which I donât think was even offered. I even offered to PAY them to repair it because again, I would like it to not get worse and have one whole panel of my sectional be missing the same hem that the rest of it has, but they wouldnât clarify whether that was possible. I think if a company is going to market something as durable it should be, and if it isnât they should at least be willing to fix it for PAY when a customer reaches out. Now I am stuck trying to stay away from a specific part of my couch, which is still financed and not even paid off, to keep it from further slipping the seam. Frustrating. I went ahead and included photos of the seam slippage, a conversation with customer service and even a throw pillow with...
Read moreStill in the middle of a frustrating situation here. To be clear, Will, the Taylorsville store manager has been great. Super communicative. This is a long story condensed: Went to pick up a section from Taylorsville. Arrived around 4 pm, lights were on, doors were locked, couldn't see anyone inside. Called the location. No answer. Called the Riverton location. No answer. Got a text message and let the rep know that I was outside the Taylorsville store waiting to pick up a couch.
20 minutes later, I'm standing outside the locked doors. A young lady comes walking down the side walk and says "Are you trying to get in?" Yes. I'm here for a couch. It seems she had decided to go shopping in the middle of her shift? Locked the doors and left. 30 minutes loading boxes, a very long process to pay for the couch (employee needs training I suppose). I asked multiple times if she was sure we had all the boxes. Yes, she was sure. I get a call from Will on the drive home who is asking me what my experience was. I relay the events and then tell him my main concern is I'm missing a piece. I was.
Wasn't too thrilled to be driving from orem to Taylorsville again a few days later, hoping that the last box would fit in my SUV. You can imagine my surprise when I arrive and am greeted by the same employee who decided to abandon post a few days prior. I get this missing part into my SUV, get home to finish putting everything together. Wrong piece. Reached out to Will who said he'd chat with delivery and customer service. Four days later and still have not...
Read moreOur experience was decent. We worked with the manager. There was only 1-2 other people helping with sales there. There was a few people coming in and out of the store and he was trying to help us and then offer help to everyone else too, so it took a bit longer than I anticipated. He was nice, and offered a good deal. Where I went wrong was buying the floor model mattress. Initially there was a corner with some dirt he showed us that was from them dragging it on the floor. Okay, I can clean that small corner for a good deal..Right?. But when we got it home, it was more that that. I guess that's my bad for not checking more, but I guess I didn't anticipate it could be worse. When we got home and started taking off the plastic, there was some slight ripping with slivers of wood on the bottom around a few of the corners. Then there was a wet stain on the bottom of the mattress, and the whole bottom was dirty. They are closing shop for good, so I can't exactly call and return or anything at this point as it was a final sale. I am just very disappointed and likely would have gotten a different one. I am afraid I won't have any kind of valid warranty on it now either. Maybe they didn't know, maybe they did. Either way, I am sad and frustrated about the amount I spent for this condition. So, don't be me. Check the furniture top to bottom...
