You all deserve at least a 5 Star Review! On 4/5/2021, I purchased 2 swivel rocker recliners. I also purchased the 5 year Premium Accident Protection plan. I am so glad I did! Both chairs in less than 2 years had parts falling off underneath! I had a challenge with the protection plan company. I called Furniture Superstore and talked with Sam explaining my experience with the protection plan company. Sam contacted the protection plan company on my behalf and they honored to replace both chairs! I also received 2 phone calls from Jim, the owner of Furniture Superstore! He was most kind and wanted to make sure that I understood I could come into the store and choose 2 chairs for replacement and that they wanted me to be satisfied with my purchases. On a Sunday, I took my 2 grandchildren with me. They helped choose the 2 replacement chairs and another 5 year protection plan. In a short amount of time Rod, from Furniture Superstore had helped us with the purchase and set up delivery for Tuesday, 2 days away, since both chairs were in stock at the store. I was given the choice by Rod for delivery date. It was scheduled between 12-5P. I received a call from the delivery people that they were running early and asked for permission to come early. Of course I said yes, being excited to have the new chairs! The 2 new chairs were delivered and set up by 11:39A! Bailey and Tim were the delivery people. They were both clean, neat, and very polite! They even asked the position and area I wished the chairs to be set up in. I cannot say enough positive things about Furniture Superstore! I am a grandmother, widow, a new resident to Rochester, and on a fixed income. I not only found this furniture store has reasonably priced quality furniture, but the employees I have encountered I felt really enjoy what they do and go out of their way to make you feel like "family". Read moreThe main reason I went to Furniture Superstore was because there was poor selection in the Twin Cities. I also just like shopping at a place that isn't a nation-wide chain. The place is huge, and they have options at every price point. I'm 6'4" and I just needed to sit in some taller stuff before I decided to purchase, so I drove 3 hours round trip just to shop. I really needed it to go well, so I called ahead to confirm availability, and Grace didn't even need to put the phone down to confirm availability. I have other nice things to say, but it's just extra.
Cameron showed me around when I arrived. It was very low pressure and he knew a lot about the products. There was no price negotiation, which I understand is actually good for the buyers. It suggests they have a very simple markup with suppliers and make the money on volume as the gigantic size of this place might suggest.
There was no way to schedule delivery immediately. I was given a lead time (estimation of when I'd get it), but ultimately they don't schedule deliveries (for my configured-to-order thingy) until they get the item from the supplier. I was told to expect a call in the morning one day when the thing arrived to Furniture Superstore, a 507 area code (so I don't pick up 20 spam calls because I'm waiting for this one), and they'd schedule a day and a time window then. That's exactly what happened. Then Ben and Tim called again this morning to say they're heading out and gave an estimated time of arrival, they arrived as expected and set it all up quickly. Clean. It's just a lot of ways things could have been just okay, you know? But they are really trying to do a good job from the phone to in person to good value to setting right expectations to arranging delivery. Totally worth the extra trip out...
Read moreThis store is amazing!! With an enormous location like this, they really are able to maintain a wide variety of quality products. I was blown away by the amount of options this store had. The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. Speaking with the owner, Jim, he explained that in large part, the reason they are able to bring in some of these quality products at such great value is directly related to the relationships they establish with the furniture vendors. Rather than only purchase a couple pieces from hundreds of vendors on a yearly basis, they try to continue ordering larger quantities from vendors that they have found to have the highest quality product. This allows them to build strong relationships with these vendors and bring in product that can be offered to customers at a great value, which it definitely is! It was really interesting learning some of their processes and values. I personally have always been interested in learning about a company before I make a purchase, so it spoke volumes to me that I was treated as well as I was and that they were so informative. I am seriously not the type to post reviews, but I felt like this store deserved it. I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for furniture to stop in, or go visit their website to check out their great selection! My suggestion would be to stop by the store in person, because I personally enjoy personable interactions with the staff, and getting to see and feel the product myself.
