I visit this store every year when I visit the Oregon Coast and it's always one of my families favorite annual traditions because of the fun touristy stuff they have and sometimes even beautiful artwork from local artists. This year, we made our usual stop and there was a woman behind the counter who really shouldn't be working with customers. She was so rude and short tempered with us as we asked her questions about items for purchase behind the counter and out of our reach. I guess the owners don't care if their employees are friendly or not since 99% of their business is seasonal tourist customers. They must figure that most of their customers will never be back again because they are tourists. I would suggest they rethink who represents their business and works with their patrons, because this tourist visits annually and I would prefer to not have her wait on me ever again! At any rate, she can't keep me away and I'll be back to visit again next year! Be sure not to miss this charming little gift store on Hwy 101 if you are ever visiting Rockaway Oregon and don't let the grumpy counter lady...

They have everything but swim fins! Then when I asked for them I had to explain what they were? They display boogie boards and scuba gear that are over priced. They give no warning or safety conditions about the beach and look at me like I have 3 heads when I ask for swim fins? Told me I was the first to ever ask for them Told me I must be really good to need them? Dude, you gotta be really STUPID to get into "this" water with a foam board and NO FINS! The rips are real and no wonder the Coast Guard is dispatched here so much! Rescue after rescue and it's mainly in the surf, too! If you're going to "bank" on the water and the people here then you should really consider the SAFETY and LIABILITY. Just saying! Shame on you for treating me like I was "out of place" in your tourist trap, dudes! Learn your stuff, it may just SAVE A LIFE! And mind your manners, too! Sheesh! I hope nobody ever treats your grand daughters...

The reason why I give them five is everybody should stop there! I am a local a few towns over. And I just love the place. You can get fantastic T-shirts, sweatshirts, they have an amazing selection of kites. Some I’m sure you probably have never seen. They have souvenirs, of course! And all different kinds. Some thing for everybody. They have novelty candy. They have skim boards, and other boards for waves. They sell miscellaneous rocks by the bag. And of course, keychains and coffee mugs. And my favorite is their collection of concrete that they sell there. I just picked up two large gargoyles for the front of my home! And you cannot beat their prices. They have an Asian section, birds, gargoyles, and a few water features. Stop by and see them is always a treat to go into that store. And the people that work there are very helpful and extremely pleasant. I put a smile on your face every time you go in....
