IF YOU ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN DO NOT LEASE AT LAKEVIEW APARTMENTS I was interested in the sister property. The actual leasing office is located at Lakeview Apartments. I was turned around and spoke with Julie. She was very nice, very warm, very welcoming, very much tenured in property management and how to greet/handle future tenants. She explained the leasing office location, guided me to the leasing office for a tour, and informed me the leasing agent inside would be available for a tour of either properties. Very nice lady. She alone gets 5 stars. This review is strictly for the leasing agent inside of the leasing office. I walked inside, no one appeared to be there. I said “hello?” No one greeted me after saying hello. I walked in further, and an older woman in a wheelchair was seated at a table. She said she couldn’t speak English but pointed to the door. I assumed she was a tenant. I walked back to the front front door to walk out and I saw an office door. Keep in mind, I said hello once I walked in and no one answered. Once I saw the office door, I peeked my head in and said hello again. The leasing agent Eduardo, looked up as if he didn’t know anyone came inside, despite the fact I said hello once I entered the building. I asked him if I could tour the property and he immediately asked in a very rude and agitated tone, “Do you have an appointment? We work on appointments only.” I responded, explaining to him I was only interested in the sister property in case he thought I wanted to view Lakeview, and asked if he was available. He said “I can be, if you make an appointment. I already have an appointment today.” Unbeknownst to him, Julie literally told me 5 minutes prior that a leasing agent was available to tour either of the properties. I guess from 1:50 in the afternoon until 5 or 6, he’s unavailable for a tour. He was very rude, he refused to take me on a tour without any further explanation or knowledge whatsoever, and he only asked “do you want to make an appointment to take a tour”, of course not. I got his card, told him I would call, and I immediately walked out to call Julie back. Interacting with Julie versus Eduardo was like night and day. He wasn’t friendly, at all, and he didn’t mind using an aggravated tone of voice will speaking to me. IF YOU ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN, DO NOT LEASE HERE. I can ONLY imagine how he handles current tenants maintenance request or any other interactions. Granted Julie and the assistant property managers offered to take me on a tour personally and I won’t have to interact with Eduardo or his rudeness, but I’m more than likely not going to take them up on their offer. The fact someone with that disposition was hired with that lack of customer service in the property management industry, shows poor judgment on their part. I can't express how grateful we are for the amazing service Eddie provided during my sister's move to Lakeview Apartment Homes.

After yet another incident in the previous unit on Saturday, she went to the office to make the report and AGAIN no one was there. So she walked over to the neighboring property Lakeview to ask if she could just report it to them.

From the moment my sister reached out, Eddie was incredibly accommodating and made the entire process of moving seamless, especially after the nightmare of experiences she had at Rockwell Commons just a month prior.

Eddie's honesty stood out when he showed the property. He made it clear that the model she viewed wasn’t the exact layout of the unit my sister would be renting, which we really appreciated. He ensured that every detail was in place to make her move-in day an stress-free experience.

My sister was out of town on business in Chicago, and Eddie went above and beyond to help us out on the move in day. He made sure I could access the property for the movers, and even offered water to myself and the movers—such a thoughtful gesture that made a big difference on a hectic day.

This place is not trustworth! They have too much hidden fees for no reason! I supposed to move out on November 30 then I cound’t because I couln’t close on the house that date! I come to the office of Lakeview apt to ask if they could extend my stay for one week! They said that I could stay 2 days only for free if charge! I moved out December 2nd, there was no move out paper nothing! On February 01, I called the leasing office to ask about my deposit then Cindy told me that she was working on it that I should wait! Today around 11 am I received an email saying that I owed $330! I was shocked! I have to go there to get clarification of this charge. When I get there I was told that charge is for days I stay there after November 30. First they said that I moved out on December 7 which is not true! I moved out on December 2. Cindy said that there was no place I could stay for free! I never ask anyone to stay for free! I pay rent $2300/ monthly the I couldn’t pay 330 please give me a break! Before you rent at this place be aware of all this dramma! Then when I ask about the deposit she said that it was include in special we got when we move in! This is so sad! On top of all this they sent my account to collection without contacting me! I was shocked. How can you send me to collection without contacting me first?
