The Rustic Warehouse — Local services in Rockwall

VERY OVERPRICED. This converted house and attached warehouse is a mixture of antiques, replica antiques and new merchandise. There are quite a few sellers with their own booths in the warehouse and their items mixed in inside the house area. I found the selection good but the prices HORRIBLE. Items were very overpriced. An example of this is someone is selling calf/cow hide rugs starting at $210.00. They can be bought on Amazon for $150. I bought 2 kitchen towels for $6.00 and a tiny spray bottle of oil for leather $11.00 to renew my leather car fresheners I buy from Bucees. Their repurposed furniture done in chalk paint, waxes and glazes are pretty but verrrrry over priced. A beautiful "leaded glass front door in oak" is priced at $350.00, but the "oak" feels quite literally like driftwood. Planters of plastic, galvanized (I think) and ceramic are priced at $37, $45, $52 and up, and don't come with the plastic greenery or artificial flowers or cotton buds on a branch. It's a nice store with lovely people that really know how to put rooms together, just sadly...

I am glad I gave them a second go! Upon my first visit, I felt a little like the other commenters.. employees seemed too busy to help, didn’t really care that I was there, and definitely not interested in making a sale! The second time I went in however, was much better. My husband and I went in with only the intention of looking. We stumbled upon Mattie, one of the owners, who helped us gather up 3 large pieces of furniture, 4 chairs, and countless other pieces of wall art. We also scheduled to have our current table painted by Mattie! She totally took care of us, helped us with delivery bc we were new to town and didn’t have a truck, and just really made sure we had fun vs getting us in and out to make a sale. Just went in this store to look around for the holidays, I thought it might help me get in the spirit after this terrible year. I have purchased several items in the past here, but as we ventured in no one was wearing a mask so we left and I will absolutely NEVER shop there again!!!! HELLO, we are in the middle of a pandemic and I do not want anything to do with any business not willing to do everything possible to make a safe environment for their customers. I have my own business and have been devastated financially from this pandemic. I do everything in my power to make safety for myself and all of my clients first priority because I genuinely CARE about the support of my customers and I cannot afford to be sick or be shut down again.
