The Mrs and I decided to spend the afternoon walking downtown Rome to see the different boutiques and retail stores .. we made our way to this terrific coffee shop .. the menu board shows that it serves traditional and flavored coffee as well as a few smoothie options along with some pastries .. the staff is very friendly and service is quick .. my wife ordered the Caramella and I ordered the Mango Smoothie, both tasted fantastic .. we were able to taste the coffee with a hint of caramel so it was a welcome change from coffee shops that serves a caramel drink with a hint of coffee .. if you are in the mood for a refreshing smoothie, then I would recommend the Mango as it seemed like I drank an entire mango or two (probably because it's made with 100% crushed fruits as it states on the menu board behind the counter) .. will definitely be back with family the next time we are in...
Read moreI would give less stars if I could. Deplorable. That's the word I think of when I think of Swift and Finch Coffee now. I order a pour over and it took much longer than it should have because I noticed they kept making drinks while making the pour over from customers after me. I then ask the so called barista who took my order if I can have a mug for in the shop and he agreed but no communication took place between the two people. After waiting lol get than I should have my coffee came out in a paper to go cup which ruins the coffee. I will not ever set foot inside the coffee shop again. It takes just one bad experience to ruin the coffee. I will be going to places that are timely and listen/follow through. I recommend you don't do the same to another customer in the future. Absolutely deplorable and on par with the worst overall experience I...
Read moreUpdate #2: I spoke to them about the beans. They said they simply have a different process for their beans. More of a light roast. Swift is probably my favorite coffeehouse in town.
Updated: I recently bought a pound of their Sumatra coffee beans, which is normally fantastic, but the last batch was undrinkable. Either something went wrong with the roasting, they are very old or they aren't even arabaca beans. Before you buy a $14 pound of beans, smell them first. You'll know if it's a bad batch. They smell earthy and are void of any coffee scent. I removed a star since I had to throw out the batch. Original review: Try the hazelnut frapaccino. You'll be hooked. Great drinks, although some are too sweet. Select carefully. The staff is fantastic as always. Make sure you get a Swift and Finch card to earn...
