TL;DR: They took longer than they said, and they didn't use the correct parts for the fix.
Dropped off one of my Invicta skeleton watches for a new crystal (I had a hairline crack in it that drove me crazy). I was told to expect a phone call within a week with an estimate on cost and time. I got the call about a week and a half later, which gave me the price (not horrible, but not great either), and I was also told the watch would be done within two weeks, since they had to cut the crystal. After two weeks passed, I never got an email, so I called, but never actually talked to anyone. I drove down there (half an hour from my house) to find out what was going on with my watch. I was told that it wasn't ready yet, and was given the excuse of them not knowing it needed a custom crystal cut. I explained that this was known two weeks prior, and that I was told it would be ready by now. I left, and within 20 minutes got a call saying that it was next in line. I got another call the next day saying it was done. When I go to pick up my watch, not only was there no mention of the hassle I'd gone through, but the crystal they put in wasn't flat like the one my watch had. So now my favorite watch has a domed crystal on it, which distorts the view at all angles, and they weren't willing/able to do anything about it. I now realize I never specified I wanted the same shape on the replacement, but one would expect that to be assumed by the jeweler, or at least mentioned before the work is performed.
If you must go to Adam's Jewelers, be sure to specify EXACTLY what you want, and demand that when you pick up your item later...
Read moreMy fiancé and I thought we were sharing a lovely experience designing a ring at Adam’s Jewelers together. The owner was friendly and now I think took advantage that we were younger. We got the ring back really fast after picking everything out and went to pick it up. We don’t know much of anything about diamonds or settings, but after having to bring it back in after I had my finger measured there already and it was made to the wrong size still, I could hear the diamond rattling around. I told the owner and he looked at it and said no making me feel I was going crazy. Months later the diamond was rattling and physically moving around so I took it into a local jewelers, where they sent me photos of how poorly everything was assembled and could not believe the price I had paid for work like this. The prongs had not all been cut to properly hold my diamond at all and I was lucky the diamond did not fall out. I decided to not come back to Adams to get it repaired because why would I want something fixed improperly and decided to go to this jeweler. Upon fixing the horribly done prongs, he told me that the shank on one side wasn’t even done. This place is horrible and they definitely prey on people they know have less experience with fine jewelry. I would NEVER go back here and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. It was so disappointing. They should 100% make this right with my fiancé who spent a good amount of money to try and get me my dream ring....
Read moreI was shopping around the Roseville area for an engagement ring. Went to a few other shops before going into Adams, not for any reason, and I am glad I did. All these other stores just want to sell whatever they have and not listen to what I want. These sales people just see me as a commission and many of them were dishonest when teaching me the diamond qualities. Whatever diamond quality they had, was considered “the best”. When I went to Adam’s and meet Adam himself and his son, they treated me with kindness and full attention. I was talking at the beginning and they simply listened. Long story short, these Jewelers were very personable and helped me pick the best diamond for the budget I asked for. And they custom made an engagement ring that I provided from a photo I’ve found online. No wonder they have high review rating and won Best Wedding Rings on the Sacrament A-List for many years. Glad to call Adam’s Jeweler my new go...
