Well, not sure where to start, However, it all began Wed, Oct 2... I drove specifically to Zales in Roseville Galleria, whom I thought to be honest and reputable, due to the many years in business and large corp. I walked in and was helped by Tanya..she cleaned and checked my 2 rings, my wedding wrap and another ring that was missing a diamond. She found that both ring had some loose diamonds and required to have the prongs tightened, "stone tightening". She could not give me an estimate on how much it would cost and said it needed to be sent out to a jeweler in Roseville and she should know by next week, Wed, Oct 9th, so I agreed to leave both rings to have tightened and replacement of the missing diamond. Fast foward 9 days later.. I did not receive a call from Tanya on Wed, Oct 9th..I gave her until Friday and decided to call her. In speaking with Tanya, she did not have an answer and needed to call the jeweler, so she would have to call me back.. Well, I gave her an hour +, still no call back so I called her back only to find out that the diamond tightening and the diamond placement would not be done until Friday, Oct 25 or so..?? I mentioned I would like to have my wedding Ring (wrap) sooner and mentioned the jeweler has had my rings for the last 9 days. I asked her to have the jeweler return my rings. She told me the jeweler will send out my rings Mon, Oct 14th and she will call me on Mon to let know. Well again, no call... I had to call her .. Tanya stated she was unsure if the jeweler had sent out my rings, so she had to call them and will call me back. She called back and told me my ring should be delivered by Wed Oct 16th, no later than Thurs Oct 17th. I told her that's way too long, not to mention, the jeweler is located in Roseville. I could have just picked them up myself..I asked Tanya how my rings were being sent back and she stated UPS..I asked her if she /jeweler had a tracking number and she stated, No..?? That was concerning to me and I began to worry.. I didn't like that answer cause I know all packages delivered by UPS should have a tracking number. I asked to speak to a manager, she placed me on hold for approx 3-4 min then the assistant manager, Evan got on the line only to tell me the same thing...? During our conversation, I mentioned to him I really needed my wrap sooner, Evan did mentioned sometimes diamond tightening may not take as long as a diamond replacement. I told him if Tanya would have mentioned that to me, I may have moved forward with the services, in hopes maybe I would have received my wrap quicker.. I would have been ok waiting for the diamond placement. Nevertheless, I did not receive a call from anyone Thurs, Oct 17, so I had to call Zales again.. I called and spoke with Annette, I explained what had happened , so she called the jeweler.. Hmmmm..Wow...she was able to obtain a tracking number, which Tanya stated there wasn't a tracking number?? Come to find out, my rings were sent to Reno in error and had been redirected to be delivered to Zales in Roseville, Friday Oct 18. I was very disappointed....Why were Tanya/ Evan transparent in letting me know what had really happened....I guess that was the reason "why" my rings were taking so long to be delivered..I understand that people make mistakes however, not to be transparent and honest about what happened is a concern of mine.. I want to thank Annette for going "Above and Beyond" and her help in finding out what really happened to my rings. Zales ( Jared) is such a large company ... I worked with Annette and Tony to find the pair we think would work for my friend. We settled on a pair of one carat studs that complimented her wedding ring. My friend had purchased her ring from Zales and always raved about how easy it was to get cleanings and tune ups especially since she admitted to being hard on her jewelry.
