I’m sorry this is such a long review, but you need the full story. My husband and I were attempting to return a Food Network dish set which, we discovered, had broken pieces. We were sent upstairs by a customer service associate to find another box to do an even exchange. After trying to find the box on our own, we circled around the area for five minutes to try to find someone to help us before giving up and returning downstairs to Customer Service. A different associate told us we had two options, the first being to return the broken set and rebuy the set ourselves online. My husband told her we didn’t want to lose our $20 Kohl’s cash, and she said we wouldn’t. I told her I didn’t understand, and my husband asked about the second option, which involved us using their app to find the plates in stock elsewhere and driving around trying to find them. I asked, so with the first option, you’ll order the plates for us?” To which she stated that we would have to order them ourselves, but “she could help us use the kiosk.” At this point, my husband asked to speak to a manager. When we told him our situation, he left to go check the stock room for a new set for us. After he had left, the associate, who had left the counter, returned and loudly said to my husband, “I understand that your situation requires a manager but there was no need for her to be rude. “ We had been standing quietly waiting for the manager to return, so my husband asked her why she would come up and say that, unless her objective was to embarrass us. When the manager returned, we thanked him for his time but informed him that we would be returning both the broken set and the other set we had bought, which we did. Read moreLast week I spent almost $1,000 at this location, shopping for 3 people. On one transaction my card was doubled charged. The manager (Amy) said that the transaction didn't go through and she had to charge me again. Well, sure enough the next day I checked my bank account and was double charged. So, I had to go back in and have them fix it. When I showed up, Amy was too busy to come deal with me. I asked for a manager, and the person who over charged me to begin with. Between the two mess ups, I wait a good 45 mins. No apology, no offered compensation for my time. Just deferment and excuses. On top of that, Kohl's was advertising a special give away with a money off coupon UPON ENTERING the store. The two days I came in, there was no one to greet you and give you the coupon. They were only giving people the coupon upon check out. And the second day I was only there because they had double charged me. Then, the women who dealt with me both days acted like they were gate keeping the Holy grail or something. They acted like they didn't even want to give you a coupon even when they were asked for one. All this, after I had spent a lot of money already in their store. Read moreI haven't been here for a very long time, it's been years actually. Anyhow, I came with my daughter to purchase bras & an outfit to wear to my father-in-law's second marriage (he is widowed & so is his fiancee) ceremony this upcoming Tuesday. Needless to say, it's going to be a very small ceremony. Anyhow, as usual, Kohls had a Friends & Family 25% off Sale as well as a plethora of other sales throughout the store. I'm a huge clearance section fan so I scored considerably on that alone. They had buy one get one half off on several top brand name underwear too. Thankfully, I had Kohl's app on my phone as I was able to scan price tags because sometimes you couldn't find the sale price. The best part of this time of the year: the deliciously late hours...the store was open until 12:00 a.m.!! LOVE LOVE IT!! However, I wasn't able to find shoes to match up w/ my wedding outfit. One of the reasons was due to not being able to find my shoe size which is unfortunately a common size: 7. The store was brightly lit, clean, nicely decorated for the holidays & had an abundance of huge varieties of items within each of their categories. When I checked out, I was pleasantly surprised to get that extra 25% off...another $60 savings on top of the clearance & sale prices I had already! Thank you Kohl's!
