Youth make mistakes, part of growth, we all get it. But where was management to correct the mistakes? That I take issue with. And no, not some old man (I hope not considered such? lol), I am 40. Anyway. We were charged for an upgrade to a side which simply didn’t come out the way I ordered. Now, this part is at least in part accountable to the back of the house, no doubt, but my concern is the failure to recognize in the prep before being presented to the table. I noticed it so I pointed it out to the server to just make sure it wasn’t reflected on the bill, but otherwise didn’t mind eating it in the least the way that it was. We ate our meal, we enjoyed it enough, no serious red flags there, not trying to be prudish. We just were trying to eat light and be on our way, saving the rest for later. So she brought us boxes, and somehow failed to bring the check at the same time, although we were visibly ready to leave. Not a huge deal, but to be noted in conjunction with the ensuing shortcomings. She returned a few minutes later, processed the bill and sure enough, we were charged for the upgrade we did not receive. She then disappeared for a solid 5 minutes before I could catch her attention to adjust this error. I asked that it be amended. The server took forever and a day again, though comparatively not as long, and then brought us a paper merchant copy. After already waiting all of ten minutes at this point to simply pay and leave, she plopped it on our table and scurried away. Of course she couldn’t hear when I belted “Ms!”. We were not going to wait around, again, to pay for our food and leave. We had to be somewhere promptly. I took it to the front and asked for it to be rectified. The young lady at the hostess stand stood on business. She should get an escalated role because she recognized there was clearly an error in service and she did not hesitate to act. She brought it hastily right back, we paid, we left. We still tipped our server because, hey, you can’t leave her “nothing” as that is just gross. She was nice after all, definitely gotta point that out. But we didn’t tip her generously like we normally do. She made not 1, not 2, not 3 but four lapses in judgment. Now, my real qualm? After allllll of the above; why would a manager not present themselves to address the issue in person? Get it together management. Coporate, heed some advice: Don’t just hire youth, get a mix of 20s and 30s etc. in there, that is where excellent service strives. You lose a little on the front end but you wholesale replenish on the comeback with returning customers. Not rocket science economics. Treat your customers like they matter, fix issues in real time as they happen, do not wait for a three star review. Address matters in person. But maybe thats the elephant in the room. Perhaps management didn’t recognize the issue as it occurred because they don’t have control of their environment? And if they don’t, how then is an example to be lead to the youth??? You’re welcome for these words of encouragement. I look forward to visiting again and giving you that chance to...
Read moreI've been here more than a handful of times, Andrew. Each time has gotten worse. This last visit has put the final nail in the coffin! My husband has been diagnosed with cileac disease. And we have issues going out to eat because of it. We know it's always a risk. This time, we ask for a gluten-free menu from our server. He brings it back to us. As we discuss our options with him (reminding him that this is an allergy, not a choice), we place our order. We waited close to 45 mins for our order. Each time a piece of our meal was brought out, it was a runner (understandable). In the beginning, he said we'd get bread (didn't really care), but it took our appetizer to come out, and he was "oh I forgot your bread." Our daughters drink was wrong. Then she finished it, and no refill was ever offered or given. When ordering my dinner I asked if I could do a half order (just inquiring) because I couldn't eat 2 pork chops) he snarked back, yeah but you'll still get charged the full price. Sorry, I just don't eat that much, and we weren't going home afterward. Food came out, and the lady was very nice, knew exactly who received which dish. BUT! My husbands food was an issue. He ordered shrimp, and of course, it was wrong. Even after an extensive conversation with the server. His shrimp was lying on top of a slice of bread. What was the point of announcing his allergy? Even after I told our server, he still didn't get it. I told him that bread had gluten in it. He basically rolled his eyes and said, "Oh, sorry," and said that it would be remade. 10 mins later, it was back with no bread. We had an appointment, so I asked for our dessert to go, and the bill. Of course, the meal was still on there, no adjustments (NOT AT ALL ASKING FOR ONE TO CLARIFY). Not once was there any sincerity from him, though. No manager visited us to apologize for the mistake. I'm sadden by the handling of all this. Really came in with a positive attitude and wanted to have a nice meal with my family. Only to be treated like garbage in the end. The server really needs retraining or a new profession. I've been a server, i understand good days and bad days. But what i don't understand or forgive is neglect with someone's health...
Read moreSaturday evening wait at 445pm was an hour for 2 adults and 3 teens. Not great but decent enough. Girl at the front even said we could leave and come back. We hit a furniture place next door to kill sometime. After we got seated there was nothing positive. Service was horrible. Took our orders including appetizers. Brought us drinks and our server said I'm bringing out your appetizers now. Came by 5 min later and again said the same thing. Whatever...they could be busy. Appetizers come and no silverware was ever given. We didn't realize as we were all talking. But before we could ask our server for some as he dropped off the appetizers he was on his way. Stopped another server and we had to ask for silverware. She brought it right over. All the appetizers were eaten and plates at the end of the table. 20 min later another server comes to our table with our soups and salads. Hell of a wait between each. I now ask this newer server for refills on our drinks and I'm going to assume she never heard me as they never came. Our actual server comes by asks... how are things? I ask for the same previous refills. I asked for 2 refills and we got 1 now. I assumed he was coming back with another glass but never did. Now our steaks come out by yet another server and again I ask for steak sauce, 1 more refill and a water. We finished our entire meals and nothing arrived. Our actual server now stops by and asks...how are things? I explain we have yet to get our refills that we've asked for and could have used steak sauce. He asks what refills we needed, I explain a coke and water. He hurriedly brings us...a water and steak sauce. No coke. We asked for a check we have had enough! We were sharing cokes at this point at the table.
Also I've seen truck stop bathrooms cleaner than these were. Toilet was nasty, paper all over the ground. And when you go wash your hands the soap is sitting outside of the dispensers on the counter tops. So you've got wet hands and now grabbing this soap canister trying to pump soap out.
Honestly a horrible experience especially for the over priced and not so great food. Would not recommend this...
