Shoutout to Connie and Scott at DXL Merrillville—you’ve got a customer for life.

After being completely ignored by four associates at Men’s Wearhouse, my wife and I walked out and headed to DXL. I just needed my measurements taken, but what I got was a first-class experience.

Connie greeted us right away. When I mentioned I wasn’t sure of my measurements, she gave me two options: traditional tape or their new computer scan technology. I’m a tech guy, so I went with the scan—and Connie walked me through every step like a true expert.

Once the scan was done, Connie did her thing. She styled me with multiple versatile looks—outfits I wouldn’t have thought of myself. Her eye for color, pattern, and fit is unmatched. I’ve got several events coming up and thanks to her, I’m covered. I left looking sharp and feeling confident.

As we wrapped up, we met Scott, who was equally amazing. And get this—he actually apologized for the bad service we had at Men’s Wearhouse. I told him: I’m grateful for it… because it led us here to be WOWED by Connie.

EDIT Like a fine wine Sam gets better with age. Since my first review I’ve been there maybe 4 times. Each time Sam makes sure I leave there looking good… today he did the same and also made sure I felt good about myself. That is just showing how special of a guy he is. It’s one thing to sell a shirt and say it looks good. Sam tells you WHY it looks good. He knows the fit. The fabric. He knows his job and it’s refreshing to have an associate with the knowledge and that personal flair like only Sam can deliver!

I went in for a pair of casual jeans and maybe a shirt. Sam helped me with the basics and treated me like I was buying a full wardrobe. He explained fabrics, colors, and fitment. As a fat boy I loathe clothes shopping. I left the store feeling good about myself and happy I went.

I can’t recommend Sam enough. Go see him and you will come out smiling and looking great!

Samm was the most amazing sales person I have ever met. He was amazing!!! He helped my husband find what would look best on him and really cared about him feeling his best while looking his best!
