I’d had a negative experience at the Detroit location and was reluctant to proceed with an event that AWU had scheduled on Sep 25th with me as the Speaker. I gave the benefit of the doubt and showed up, only to further be disappointed. I was attempting to enter the building with multiple things in my hands while 3 members of the staff sat behind the desk without attempting to assist.

After asking for a cart, the director or manager brought one up and proceeded to sit back down without either of them sharing the location, greeting me properly or telling me anything I needed to know in order to proceed to ensure that I knew where I was going. This was my first time in the space but clearly a negative experience from the previous location and attitude of the employees had carried over into their ability to remain in a professional mindset.

One employee who I believe named Lynn came over to assist with the door and o shared that I was grateful for her presence. During the event one of the employees interrupted by proceeding to do a tour at which point our guest just looked in awe. Lastly when Ally came down to see if everything was ok, she spoke with everyone but me, who was the individual coordinating the event, and only came over once she was directed by a guess who told her that I was the person she should be directing her questions to.

When she came over I asked her name as she or the others had not spoke or provided their names upon my entry. Guest noticed the behavior was very offensive towards me and noted that it was very inappropriate. I recently signed up for a membership at Bamboo Royal Oak in order to have a quiet workspace away from home, and after touring Bamboo, I knew immediately this was the place for me. From the get-go, the entire staff (shout out to Amanda, Ally + Nerissa) were very welcoming and always willing to help in any way they could. The space itself is modern, clean, professional, and conducive to productivity. As someone who works best at night, access to their facility 24/7 is a huge plus, and its location in the heart of Royal Oak is unmatched. Parking is never an issue, with a parking garage literally feet away from the office (first 2 hours free, $0.75 every hour after or get a $50/mo parking pass), and I've never felt unsafe walking the short distance at any hour of the night. Its a great place to network or just meet nice and interesting people, and the entire atmosphere is very warm, welcoming and most importantly, facilitates efficient work flow (not to mention their Nitro cold brew on tap). There are many events that take place throughout the month, should you wish to partake, as a way to network and meet new people. Working here every day is honestly one of the best work experiences I've had to date, and the only regret I have is not signing up sooner. I truly cannot recommend Bamboo Royal Oak enough, and if you have any doubts or hesitations about signing up, I would sign up for a tour to assuage those doubts immediately (I quite literally signed up for a membership immediately after my tour of the facility, after having toured other co-working spaces and not finding one that felt...

As someone who has been a member of Bamboo co-working space for over a year now, I can confidently say that this is hands down one of the best co-working spaces out there. The environment is clean, modern, and welcoming, creating a comfortable and productive space to work in.

But what really sets Bamboo apart is the community. As a startup founder, I have had the privilege of meeting and collaborating with so many other like-minded individuals, all thanks to the fantastic culture that Bamboo has cultivated. The community is diverse, supportive, and truly inclusive, which has led to countless opportunities for networking, partnerships, and growth.

And speaking of awesome, I have to give a shoutout to Amanda, who has been an absolute rockstar throughout my time at Bamboo. Her passion for creating an amazing experience for members is infectious, and she goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels welcome and supported.
