I'm super irritated at the lack of response I've gotten with my issue with this store. I went in two weeks ago to find a dress for my nieces birthday. They were super helpful, gave me things to try on, talked with me through out the whole process and "made friends" basically. At check out I deliberately asked what the return policy was because there was one dress I didn't have time to try on and I wasn't sure about it. It was also $70 and that's a lot to spend on a dress if you don't have an option to return or at least exchange.
I had a FULL ON CONVERSATION about how the dress is exchangeable. How I have $14 days for store credit with the tags on and the receipt. I 100% WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED A DRESS I HAVENT TRIED ON IF I COULDN'T RETURN IT. Apparently the person who told me this was one of the managers (at least that's the conclusion I've come to)
Of course, the dress doesn't look good on me and I return the following weekend to exchange. I get complete opposite information from the person there, saying they don't do returns and that's why there's a dressing room. I'm initially so upset, and try to tell her what happens and she says she's "texting the manager but they won't let her return it". So I really have no idea what she really says but I'm annoyed I can't speak to her myself. Annoying part of the conversation #1: She says the return policy is on the receipt... I'm like yeah, the receipt you give me AFTER I MADE MY PURCHASE AND CONFIRMED WITH THE LADY HELPING ME THAT I COULD EXCHANGE IT.
Three days go by and I'm still upset so I go in again to see if the lady who helped me is there. She isn't. There's someone else this time. She takes down the name of the dress, my number and says the manager will call me but all the same info.. they aren't accepting returns. Annoying conversation #2: She says they can't return because of covid. and I say, well why is that different than people touching all the clothes in the dressing room? and she says "well we disinfect everything" and I say "then can't you disinfect this dress too??!!??" She had no words after that..
The last that I want to say is that the manager never called me. Will I be back to shop at this store? No, never. Seriously so annoying. I hate spending money when I can avoid it and even more so being played the way I was with such a horrible lack of response from management.
It's also really frustrating that they have signs that say "support local" all over their store when they can't even support their local shopper back. I would have loved to continue shopping at this store as they do have some cute things and I live literally down the street, but because they have bad customer service, I'm out.
IN CASE YOU WANT TO RETURN MY CALL, IM STILL WAITING. I WOULD STILL...
Read moreVisiting from out of state my sister and I wanted to hit up downtown sac for some boutiques and thrifts. We came across Wild Poppy Co. and stepped in to check them out. The lady working, Summer, immediately greeted us while finishing up her chat with some other shoppers.
Once they left it was only my sister Jamie and I remaining in the shop. Summer approached with the typical ice breaking questions...."how are you? What are you shopping for?" Our response "Good, thank you, we're only looking." As we were thumbing threw hangers, anything my sister touched Summer was right there to size and style her. Grabbing more than what my sister was looking at and setting up a dressing room for her.
Anytime Jamie would ask me something, Summer would answer for me while piling more clothes into the dressing room Summer decided she needed.
Fast forward to cashing out, Jamie ended up with 6 items, 2 of the items she was unsure of and felt pushed into getting. But figured she'll return them if needed.
Three days later Jamie decides she wants to return the two items, so we head back down to Wild Poppy Co. We get there, we're at the register with the owner of Wild Poppy Co. Everything was cool until the owner pulled out a gift card. Jamie hesitated a little and asked if she could get her money back. Leaving in two days to fly back to the east coast, a gift card was not useful for her. And buying more of their product didn't sit comfortably with either of us.
The owner explained their return policy (10 days to return an item and money spent on that item you will get back on a gift card) and when Jamie had shared that wasn't part of Summers conversation with us, the Owner reassured us (gaslight tf outta of us) that "Summer is usually really good at telling people the return policy." It was obvious that we both were uncomfortable in the lack of regard provided by the owner.
Jamie left with a gift card to a store that neither of us, and hopefully others, will not be returning to. If mean-girls from high-school is your vibe, this...
Read moreLoved this store the moment I walked in. It’s not that big so you can’t get lost inside. But it sure is beautiful. The display on the window is definitely inviting so we went in. The salesperson Kaitlin was so sweet and has a nice smile. She offered to help us find the right sizes and recommended new items that just came in. They have really nice clothing and jewelry. I did end up buying a few things. Check it out.
Oh by the way, they really do cater to your needs she asked me if I wanted a drink, isn’t that nice? What store would you not want to go to, if they offered those services? Just saying...
