Ethan is a great guide. We went out on one of the coldest mornings of the year, with an unusually low tide and water that was dirty from two days and nights of high wind. I didn't think it was possible to catch anything given the conditions, but we did catch a whole bunch of fish and had a great time. Whether you are new to fishing or have been fishing for fifty years you will have a great trip with Ethan.

Second trip on September 9, 2020. Started out with a 20 inch Speckled Trout, then a 3 pound Mangrove Snapper, then 3 oversized Redfish, largest of which was 20 pounds or more, then 27 inch Snook, also a keeper Flounder, keeper Spanish Mackerel, keeper Bluefish, keeper Sea Bass and assorted other fish.

I’ve been fortunate enough to fish with Ethan on numerous occasions—summer through winter—and every trip seems better than the last. From big tarpon on the beach to spooky redfish in super clear water, Capt. Ethan always puts us on fish.

Always professional, always enthusiastic, and always supportive when you’re on the bow of his skiff. I can think of countless times where I’ve blown casts, and Ethan is always like, “THAT’S ALRIGHT, WE’LL GET ANOTHER SHOT!” From an angler’s perspective, that’s hugely important because some captains aren’t that way, and it can ruin a day on the water.

The skiff is immaculate, not to mention: it’s the best possible boat to fish this area in. Capt. Ethan’s tackle (if you don’t bring your own) is all top of the line gear.
