I have NEVER in my life been so appalled with a store in my life. I have to say that I love this store ! I’m come in there constantly to buy lateen bathing suits which are not cheap…. But I loved the store and it had become a tradition for my father to buy me a set from here anytime he would visit me. Today, I came in with my boyfriend on two separate occasions. The first time was to look for a bathing suit for me… and he found some linen pants he liked. We returned later to try the linen pants on. This store has great quality clothes, therefore more pricey! Which has never been a problem for me ! As my boyfriend was in the changing room, she rudely approached me to ask if someone was in there. I responded so kindly I mean it was insane. I told her he was in there trying some pants on to which she rashly and rudely responded that we should have told her and that you don’t just go into a dressing room without letting her know who and what. Although this felt targeted, I sincerely apologized and tried to tell her they were just linen pants before she cut me off AGAIN to tell me I should have told her. I stood there shocked and just apologized. I’ve been into this store too many times to count and have NEVER been approached to ask who I was and what I was taking into the dressing room…. Which keep in mind was always and 80 dollar bathing suit top and the matching 80 dollar bottoms… but was never a problem for me! Maybe it’s because I was there with my father. To her, my boyfriend and I didn’t look like we could afford some linen pants from her. I told my boyfriend to get out of the dressing room and that we would not be purchasing anything from them. I kindly asked for her name before we left and she rudely responded I’m not giving it to you. The woman was short and blonde and was actually usually the woman I would see when I purchased my suits. I told her the way she handled that was rude and uncalled for as I had apologized for not letting her know that my boyfriend was trying on pants. I left that store shaking of just sadness and stress. She looked at us and told us well I don’t know if you’re going to steal…. And I knew this was immediately a targeted attack from a white woman who didn’t think we looked like we could afford anything from them. I would like the owner to reach out to me as soon as possible to get this sorted out. A customer should never be treated...
Read moreBack in May of this year, I walked into Cotton Collection after searching through every other shop and boutique near or on St. George St for the perfect little white dress. You see, I was planning a shot gun wedding in 4 days time and my mother and sister were there for support. When I walked in, I had little hope of finding anything that day (the day before our wedding) but an incredible woman by the name of Bridgett came to my aid like an angel! She sent me to the rack of long, linen dresses and I picked the white one to try on. When I came out of the dressing room, Bridgett was beaming and smiling and even cracked a tear for how I looked in the dress and I just knew from her expression that it was perfect! My mom and sister agreed and we all shared a beautiful moment together. Bridgett is a kind and beautiful soul and the clothing quality is amazing too. Definitely check out Cotton Collection I'm St. Augustine if you're looking for a helpful, wonderful...
Read moreHad a family photo at 4 yesterday with nothing to wear and about 20 minutes to spare. I walked into Cotton Collection, and I was immediately assisted by an incredible nice woman named Bridget. Bridget helped me find the perfect pair of khaki pants and an amazing shirt. I was in and out within 5 minutes and the pictures ended up turning out great. Once the photo shoot was over, I shot back over to show my appreciation and as I walked in another very kind woman was looking for a gift for her husband. These khaki pants were the perfect gift, and her husband ended up loving them.
