Elegant appointments hidden in the middle of busy Saint George Street in downtown historic Saint Augustine is this lively and fabulous eatery. Open for breakfast, brunch or lunch with eclectic and modern twists to all of your favorite foods. This chef understands how to present and make really good food! Started with a nice pour of pineapple and pomegranate mimosas. This house juiced treat was refreshing and just good! Got to share a sampling of dishes and each one had its merits! The RR salad has a deliciousness that usually does not define a salad. It was full of so many different veggies and fruits and was just beauty to see (description on the menu in the photos posted). The Brûlée French toast was full of sweet flavor but each bite was better than the first. Really enjoyed the Hipster Toast as well. The cornbread base was not only different but had a wonderful mouthfeel and the poached egg was.. well perfectly poached! Definitely recommend and you definitely want to make reservations as this place stays busy. Service was fantastic too. Our bartender was our server and she stayed spot on. Can’t wait to return!

We (my husband and I) can’t say enough good things about our Rehearsal Dinner Coordinator Breanna and her team for helping take care of our families and friends on such short notice. We were not having much luck communicating with another rehearsal dinner venue in St. Augustine, so we reached out to PK’s Roosevelt Room at the last minute, and I’m so glad we did! Breanna was so easy to collaborate with, always had an upbeat/positive attitude, and went above and beyond to help us out in any way she could! As a bonus, she helped me get everything all together and taken care of for our rehearsal dinner in 3 days flat, leaving me much less stressed and more confident as we moved into the week of our wedding (last week)! The food was delicious, the ambiance was amazing, and we loved hearing our guests rave about how great everything was after the fact! Thanks again, Breanna and PK’s Roosevelt Room, for making our rehearsal dinner such an event to remember! We can’t wait to come back and visit!

The Roosevelt Room had some redeeming qualities: excellent service, a fantastic vibe, and food that was surprisingly decent (two out of four plates were genuinely delicious!). But the coffee. Oh, the coffee. It was so remarkably awful and bitter, it overshadowed everything. For a breakfast place, serving such an awful, bitter brew is a major letdown (as commented in another review). When the waitress mentioned their decaf brand name was 'Columbian' from Costa Rica (then corrected to 'Colombian,' citing a likely menu misprint), I just chuckled. Because whatever that was, it tasted less like coffee and more like a bitter, existential crisis in liquid form, as if the beans took a scenic detour from Colombia (best coffee in the world by most baristas) or Costa Rica (ranked among the best) through a charcoal plant after being dark roasted in a volcano to be brewed with regret at the Roosevelt Room. I just realized my coffee snob transformation might officially be complete.

We went here with a party of 10 (8 adults2 kids). The hostess was super nice and said it would be about 30 minutes. The 30 minutes turned into an hour while other tables that could have been used for our party were sat with other guest, so we inquired why our table was not yet ready. The manager Kevin Hawkins came out to explain we need to be patient and started giving us excuses for the delay. We said we have been patient since our 30 minutes turned into over a hour. At which time we got frustrated and Kevin Hawkins started to get defensive, which turned into him insulting my family and grandchildren. He then told us we were banned from this establishment and the prohibition kitchen. When my son and daughter in law confronted him about his remarks about the grandchildren he said “I was trying to hit you were it hurts”. He also tried to get in my son’s face in an aggressive manner while my daughter-in-law was standing between them holding a child and threatened my son. As a family who has been in the service industry ourselves I find this totally unprofessional. We should have been more informed by the delay. Kevin’s behavior was not what I would find appropriate in the service industry. This was a loss of income for the server we would of had and for the restaurant loss of revenue as we were a party of ten want to have a nice breakfast and spend money. Sorry we were not able to enjoy your restaurant on our...

Don’t walk past this place!! This is, by far, the best brunch we have had in a while and definitely the best in Historic Downtown. First the staff and server were incredibly kind, courteous, helpful and happy!! The coffee was fresh and hot and top quality. The fresh squeezed OJ tasted like eating the juiciest orange. It was so good!! The candied bacon with Datil mustard was out of this world. My husband isn’t big on mustard but I convinced him to dip his bacon and even he agreed that it made the taste so much better. The kids breakfast portions were very generous, came out quick and fresh made. The local eggs were probably the best I’ve had, ever. Super fluffy and incredibly flavorful. I ordered the Hipster Toast and no regrets!! It is HUGE. But I had to eat it all. They don’t skimp on the good stuff like the avocado and goat cheese, either. The pecans were the perfect crunch and the cornbread was soft and buttery. My husband ordered the Fried Chicken and Biscuits. Don’t be scared away by the gator gravy. Holy yum!! The bacon jam was the perfect added flavor to even out the profile. There was so much food on his plate that we actually took some home and to our surprise it was still delicious the next day! Go get yourself some yummy brunch and enjoy the smiling faces, you...

All of these high reviewers must not get out much. I hate to be so negative, but wow... things could have gone better.

With all the fuss about this restaurant we were happy to only have a 30 minute wait for a party of four. After we were sat, reviewed the menu, and ordered- our food took over 35 minutes to arrive. During this time our waitress checked on us once. Not that we needed anything, but they were not crazy busy and it is only breakfast food. Seemed a little excessive.

I had the Croque Madame and it was very good. Everything else our party ordered was below average. My wife had their eggs Benedict special, it was cooked ok but lacked flavor and the pork was quite tough. My brother had an omelette with cheese and bacon, his cheese was not even melted. My sister-in-law had the corned beef from the waitresses suggestion and it was pretty horrible. We had a couple waffles on the side and they didn't have the right texture and lacked flavor. Not to mention the only thing hot on any of our plates were the potatoes.

It was a pretty big letdown and other than the lovely atmosphere, there weren't many redeeming qualities. With so many other great restaurants, who has time to give a sub performer a second chance?

To those about to dine, do yourself a favor and skip the...
